Bama Game Thread: Official PostGame Thread - Bama @ LSU...

That whole damn trash throwing stuff was blown up by Kelly raising cane about the face mask call on Milroe (trying to say it was the “side of the helmet” . it wasn’t. It was a full fledged face mask).

Did anyone notice Kelly berating one of the assistant coaches/staff on the sidelines at the end. Not sure but it appeared to be Brad Davis the Oline coach?

We’ve seen Saban lose it during the heat of the game with Kiffin, Kirby and others. But at the end of a game that is clearly over? The look on this guy’s face was like “I’m about to squish you like a bug”.
kelly also put his hands on the ref. should have gotten a flag for that

Even if it was the side of the helmet that still counts. Kelly (he killed a guy) is too dumb to know the rule.

I've never understood why there's no viable penalty for fans throwing objects on the field. Something other than a school fine - the students/fans could care less whether the school pays a fine or not. But if it were something that would actually penalize their team while in play, they might think differently about their behavior (bottles hitting players, coaches, cheerleaders, camera personnel, etc.). Maybe a 15 yard penalty for interference? If a coach enters the field of play to question or protest a call, they're potentially subject to an immediate 15-yard penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct, right?

Why not the same for fans?

My gut tells me that will change for next season. There will be a hefty penalty implemented. They have to get control of it.

The refs have the ability to eject sections of the stadium out. But they never do it.

I think it is because nobody knows where a fan's loyalties lie.
If Bama fans visiting Tiger stadium want to get LSU penalized, then just throw stuff onto the field after a questionable call. Boom. LSU suffers a 15-yard penalty.

I have feeling that will change before the beginning of next year.

It was a full facemask. Even the in booth ref said it to Fowler and Herbie. He grabbed the lower bar and pulled.

If it occurred when Milroe wasn’t in the process of being sacked, then it probably wouldn’t have generated the reaction it did. Regardless, it was in fact a face mask and it doesn’t matter how it occurred. There is no excuse for throwing things on the field.

Did anyone see how Kelly was talking to a couple of his assistant last night which look to be in a condescending tone? Its really amazing he has gotten his faced punched in his coaching tenure to date.

He’s a horrible human being. Always deflects and lays blame for his failures and mistakes. Dictionaries should reference his name and occupation as a part of “Jerk” definition. His days are limited in the SEC and he’ll be lucky to get out of south Louisiana unscathed when he’s sent packing.
