Had a guy come in with an anterior dislocation of his shoulder. Took an AP view of his shoulder with standard neutral rotation. Orthro surgeon said, “see if he can supinat his hand for an external rotation view“. The old fellow rotated his hand and that shoulder popped right back in place.

I went ahead and took the film. Came out by the view boxes. The orthopedic surgeon said “you get the external rotation? I said “nope….I got you a post reduction film”. He just chuckled and said ”sometimes getting it back in place is as easy as rotating (supinating) their hand.
There's an approved wilderness-type reduction which I've only seen demonstrated on a dummy. Basically, it's placing your foot in the armpit and maintaining constant upward pressure on the wrist pressure until the muscles relax. To diagnose my wife, they had her hold a gallon of water in each hand. She felt that made it worse and was very painful...

I watched the game again last night and maybe it's partially due to the competition, but we looked faster on defense than last year. That was a pleasant surprise to me. Russaw, Campbell, and Robinson look big and fast dudes.
I thought the players looked more "decisive" too. There seemed to be less confusion and guys were just flying to the ball. Not sure if it was the change in the defensive system, the level of the competition, or what but it was awesome to see. Hopefully it continues as the competition ramps up...

SIAP, but this is for the folks who have said they don't thing bulletin board material is meaningful.

Finley said Alabama "might not be who they think they are." The rest of the Crimson Tide learned of the Hilltoppers' quarterback's message and on Tuesday, Alabama co-captain Tyler Booker explained that these comments were gold when preparing for the game.

"It was a little disrespectful, we definitely saw what he said," Booker said. "That wasn't the main motivation for going out there and hanging 63 points on them, obviously, we're going to play to our standard but that just added a little fuel to the fire."

"Make them believe that we're still Alabama," Booker said. "When one of their players says something along the lines of '[They] might not be who [they] think [they] are,' Our whole purpose of the game is to just show 'em who were and who we say we are. I feel like we accomplished that and I think he'd say the same."

Booker was out there killing people!!! Just putting them in Body Bags and dragging them off the field.

I think this years OL will live up to last year’s preseason chatter now that they have good coaching.

I really don’t like telling it publicly that it was used as motivation. I’ve always been in the lane where you don’t talk, and don’t tell the other guy you are using his words as motivation. If you tell them their talking is making you work harder, they’ll stop.
Now I know this has been going on for years. Some idiot can’t help himself and he says something to absolutely tick the team off. Still, don’t let them know to keep their mouth shut.

Players will keep doing it though because they can’t help themselves.

My favorite one was that Vandy player a few years ago.

The offense needs a lot of work so everyone can get on the same page. I felt like everyone was out of sync for most of the game then we'd hit a big play to score.

The defense surprised me tge most, in a good way. Dang they are fast. Need to clean up bad tackling but that will come.

Overall, I'll take a shutout and a 63 point performance. ROLL TIDE!
I completely agree. Until I see more, I have some concerns about our offense and the ability to sustain long drives. Milroe looked great throwing the bomb and I hope he can maintain top overall performance.

Jalen threw one bomb for a TD to Ryan that was a good pass (this is the only bomb I can recall).
He threw a pass in the flat for a TD to KLaw that was a good pass.
He threw a mid range across the middle for a TD to Ryan that was a good pass.
He threw a mid range 20 yard out for a first down to Bernard that was a good pass.
He ran for two TD's that appeared to be designed runs that not too many QB's in the nation could have done.

He showed good improvement but let's see it when he plays against better competition. I think he is on a good trajectory.

This just dropped today. This guy does a great job at breaking down film. Go watch this. I can't post because he sometimes drops some language. He shows in game examples of Jalen Milroe doing things he gets criticized about and he points outs the things he did well. Two things, for those who think Milroe's "flaws" are being blown out of proportion the guy gives you film evidence in game one on why its not. But on the other side of the coin, for those who think this offense isn't going to be deadly with Milroe, he gives film evidence of things Milroe did that show we will have a deadly offense.

He also points out things that CKD will "recruit out" of the system and one of those are the enormous OL'men. He gives film examples in the WKU game where the OL just couldn't get to where they needed to be because of their size. Good stuff, it really is.

Thanks for sharing. I learned a lot from watching that and I think you are right in how he critiques JM in his weaknesses and praises him for his strengths.

He says Jalen will play in the NFL if someone is willing to take a chance on him and build around his skill set. I'd say he's probably correct in the modern NFL because it's obviously not about a traditional 3 step drop QB anymore.

And if Jalen can ever master the footwork and short to intermediate accuracy he needs, the sky might be the limit.

As the assistant to the assistant manager of the Milroe detractor club I want to take a moment to say we don’t think the offense can’t be deadly with Milroe.

What we think is that the cat is out of the bag on how to defend him and he needs to develop and threaten the areas of the field he doesn’t right now.

And we aren’t sure he can change his stripes this late in the game.
