I sure hope so. The last embarrassment sure didn't seem to motivate anybody.
Yeah, I’m not buying it. The team gave up 44 to Clemson, 46 to LSU and 48 to AU. That’s pathetic. All the rahrah locker room posters in the world won’t help. There are serious, deep structural issues with the team and it’s *not* simply due to injuries and refs. This team needs to look inside.

Folks the problem isn’t Auburn or Jordan-Hare. Nothing about either of them actually actively won the game tonight. We LOST that game. All Auburn did correctly was stand back and let us.

That’s what is so disheartening about it all. We used to be so disciplined. So mentally tough. That’s been gone since the second quarter of the NC game last year.
Yeah, we just haven’t played well in big games going back to the Clemson game.

Sure the last second of the 1st half had me heated but we had no business at that point giving up 24 to Auburn in the first place.

You are blaming Saban for this loss? It lands on his shoulders because he is the CEO. But he, Nick Saban, did not get out coached in this game. Please, if he did, tell me where Auburn's game plan won the game. Where their adjustments won the game.

Enlighten me.
Whoever is responsible for the placekicking is still on staff. And has been on staff for a while. That's on Saban.

Brotha, you might want to re-evaluate some things. We can’t win them all. I do appreciate your passion toward alabama football though.

What happened can be "niced" away either from a lack of passion or a buffer from the pain, but what happened on that field today is without precedent. Even with awful third down defense, you're sitting there towards the end of the 3rd wondering "how are we not up 38-17 right now, defense notwithstanding. This makes the Kick Six look like a straight deal. You outgain someone by 161 yards and control the tempo, time of possession almost throughout, you have multiple penalties that prolonged Auburn drives that simply shouldn't have been called, an illegal field goal attempt, penalties committed by our players that couldn't have happened without at least a subconscious desire to help the opponent.... There's no "just salting that away". I don't mean any of that personally, but let's call this exactly what it is, the most Auburned-up Iron Bowl ever.

There were no adjustments by gus. He didn't have to adjust.
That is my point - the head coaches did not decide this game. Both teams went into the game with a game plan. Neither team executed their game plan well enough to win the game. Offensively and defensively, both teams failed. Auburn won because of a 14 point swing on a single pass play that was as unlikely as the tip pass for a TD against GA a few years ago.

Fluke stuff decided this game. Poor execution decided this game. Poor discipline decided this game. Not some offensive or defensive game plan.

This has been the most frustrating season. It doesn't feel like the team is 10-2, yet it is. I think it's because we were 0-2 in the only two games in which the team was challenged. 10-0 in easy games, 0-2 in challenging games.

I really don't know what happens to teams on defense when they get an explosive offense. I don't know if the defense loses it's intensity and thinks if they blow an assignment the offense will just bail them out. LSU had a good defense too, until they found an offense this year and now their defense is terrible.

Everyone can say what they want to about this team, but one thing you can't is this team does have some heart. Lesser teams would have folded the tents and lawn chairs after the second pick six. This bunch just came right back down the field and scored again to regain the lead. Shane Lee can't keep up with Nix, but who is going in to take his spot, Moses? Nope, he is out. McMillion? Nope he is out. Harris? Nope he was hurt to later in the game.

Coach Saban is a great coach and great coaches don't make all the right calls all the time. I guarantee he did what he thought was correct though. Wait until he is gone and then come back on here to talk about how horrible of a coach he was against some of these highly ranked teams.

Just like the Clemson, this lands squarely on Saban's shoulders. But Saban is still the GOAT.

If you think that Alabama was out-coached in this game, you know nothing about football. Yes, the defense played like crap, but the offense played great. The refs helps Auburn, and luck helped Auburn. The 2nd pick six happened on a play in which the ball was tipped by Najee behind his back into the arms of a defender who did not even know the ball was there when it hit him in the hands. He ran it back 100 yards for a TD. That was a 1st down play from the 2 yard line. Blind ass luck. 14 point swing. That one play decided the game.
B1GTide I’m going to say this at the risk of getting “blasted”. You’re correct. Those 14 and a gift three at the end of the half were the ball game. And it falls on Saban’s shoulders. But I’ve got a gut feeling Saban may do some “soul searching” on his own part these next few weeks.

Maybe it is just me, but CNS has looked tired and frustrated all year long. I’ve honesty been worried about him. He seems tormented this year by not being able to reach his players and “coach up” his coaches.

I’m not saying he’s thinking about hanging it up, but time and time again he has said when he feels like he can’t motivate his players “he’ll go to the lake and watch the ducks crap in the water”.

I’m hoping the guy does a post 2010 evaluation and finds “the switch” for both the players and the coaches.

Mac Jones has to own those two picks. Mac Jones threw it behind Najee. It can't be Najee's fault he tried to catch it.

I'm not going to throw Mac Jones under the bus for losing the game, but it's way to early to name him starter and capable of winning future NCs.

Best win is a 7-5 team after tonight. This is just about the most empty 10-2 season you can have. Our 2005 "fluky" 10-2 season had more substantive wins than this one.

Why would I enlighten you when you apparently know everything. So the better team lost and you want me to prove that it's coaching??? You're right, I'm sure assistant coaches made the final call on the gameplan and they are to blame. I'm sure Saban stood idly by not knowing anything about it or considering making adjustments to keep auburn's trash offense from scoring 34 with a freshman quarterback. They scored with pure luck. The gameplan was perfect.
