Bama Game Thread: Official Postgame Thread - Bama vs. AU...

I don’t think it’s DeBoer‘s decision. If Milroe wants to return , he will return. Then the decision would be DeBoers on whether to start Milroe or to move on.
If they don’t have that conversation until next season, then both of them need to be fired.

Especially for Milroe. On3 has him at $2.2 million. His first contract won’t have that much guaranteed. No matter what Kiper says. He’s a 3rd day selection at best.

True, but some of the NIL for product endorsements might carry forward. I.e if a clothing company is having milroe endorse their stuff and be in their commercials, they can't still do that

This season has been absolutely crazy for us. When things are going well, everything looks great. Then we get shocked by a total breakdown and failure. For two years I have recognized that Milroe is not the right fit for this team, mainly because he simply cannot see the field in passing situations. Yes, he has some bright moments, but his ability to find open receivers continues to be a problem. That is not going to change. I hope he moves on, whether as his choice or Deboar's stand to move forward without him.

So you really think DeBoer is just going to delay installing his offense for another year just because Milroe wants to return? It's not happening. It would be career suicide. DeBoer isn't coaching to get fired.
Good point and I agree. Deboer can't waste any time making the changes that fit his coaching style. I don't understand how one player managed to have so much control over the team, including what posssibly happens to the team next year. I realize he is reaping millions with his financial contract and some posters have mentioned that the contract includes a clause that guarantees that he will be the starter. Well, if that is the case and we are legally bound to allow him to start, then the coach could have him start, taking the first snap of every game, then have him sitting on the pine for the rest of the game.

He’ll definitely be the fastest QB there and may actually be the fastest guy at the combine. He can throw it through a car wash and not get it wet as well. We’ve all been shocked by what sometimes happens at the draft.

Where he seems to struggle is deciding which car wash to throw it through. :sneaky:

It's not that he has a contract guaranteeing he starts it's that he's paying other players so they are loyal, to a fault, to him and have made that known.
