The sting of last week was eased tonight. Proud of the way they came out with a sense of urgency and competed. Time will tell if they can maintain it once we get into SEC play.

Coach DeBoer has done something Saban never did at Alabama. Score more than 70 points. Last time was in 1973 in a 77-6 win over Virginia Tech.

I think this game verified what many people though, it's certainly not a talent issue with this team. Before anyone gets too excited though, remember Alabama best Western Kentucky 63-0 last year. Games like this don't really teach you much, the real key is how a team responds to tough situations.

Having said this though, I know some people only want exciting games, but you need opponents like this. It gives you a chance to play the backups, to try out some things and to build some confidence.

No telling how things go from here, but at least this went well.

Scoreboard aside, the thing I was impressed with the most was the locked-in intensity that didn't let up until the 00:00.

I think this is the crux of it...we have the talent....it just needs to show up on game day no matter the level of opponent

Play calling was a lot better.....had a better flow to it.
Guys looked like they understood where they were supposed to be and what they were supposed to be doing.
Defense played with bad intentions all night.
