Pollack is a putz but I can't find fault with the things he said. Champions don't give the game away and Georgia is without question a top 4 team
The losing team in a close game can usually point to multiple plays where their execution was not optimal. OTOH, the winner can talk of plays that would have given more separation, e.g., Alabama dropped 3 ints, dropped a TD pass in the breadbasket in the end zone, didn’t take advantage of a TO at the +11, would have likely scored on the last drive but time ran out…
IMO, even if some plays had been different, Alabama would have done what was necessary to win - after taking the lead early in the 2nd qtr, Alabama never relinquished the lead. When UGA scored late to pull close, Alabama went right down the field to score a TD, when UGA scored again, Alabama kept the ball til the end of the game.
The offense was just as important as the D and even more clutch.
