Our problem is TACKLING!!

It's the third or fourth guy making the tackle. Obviously everyone is trying to make the takeaway and not focusing on tackling...

I wish it was that simple. The problem is that players are not in position to square up and make clean tackles. They have to try for a lot of off angle arm tackles. These are SEC players. They are hard to arm tackle. The defensive scheme has to put them squarely in the right holes. It hasnt.

This reminds me of the conversation Coach Bryant and Mal Moore had when Coach Bryant said we were making every DEnd an All-American when they played us. That seems to be our philosophy this year.

We have an ok offense and a bad defense. The defense is objectively bad.

I’m back to being a Bama fan. No more automatic wins and trust the process and make their a** quit and such. Coach Saban is gone. Happy that my team won today. Will enjoy this one and look forward to the 3rd Saturday in October

Good to win especially with this team as it in now. I said at beginning of season we will lose in Knoxville and I have seen nothing that changes my mind, however I suspect the rest of the season following that to win games much like we saw today. Exception may be at LSU or Oklahoma. If we are 9-3 we are in the playoff conversation if we drop all three we are 8-4 sitting in a bowl game.

I realize our defense is young but they made the stops needed in the second half. It isn’t pretty but it is a win

Watching the RRR has me thinking. When Sark arrived, the cupboard was hardly bare. Texas has always been able to attract talent. Still, it took him several years to build what we’re seeing right now. We have a lot of building to do, but we can get there with some adjustments. (Womack is clearly in over his head right now.)

When USCe scored a TD on 4th and 9 in the 2nd quarter, Bama rushed 4 and had 7 back. They only sent 3 receivers out so it was 3 on 7 and 2 of their receivers were open. That's really bad defense.
