I believe the rule would not be a safety because his momentum carried him into the endzone. However, I do not expect the refs to see it that way.

When USCe scored a TD on 4th and 9 in the 2nd quarter, Bama rushed 4 and had 7 back. They only sent 3 receivers out so it was 3 on 7 and 2 of their receivers were open. That's really bad defense.

This is what I don't understand. We stoned them with pressure on the previous plays. Then we switch to that odd front and they burn us.
Last plays of the game we are sending everyone and blowing up the plays.
Why do we keep going conservative so often??? We have much better success when we are aggressive!

For some reason some fans engage in toxic positivity.

Just excessive positivity that basically amounts to ‘guys there is nothing to be upset about we are 5-1 and ranked #7 please stop complaining’

We have legitimate issues right now that are valid to discuss wrt to coaching and schemes and player fundamentals….and at least for the next 24 hours we should be allowed to discuss those things.

I’m not sure how it helps to be told to just bury our heads in the sand like nothing is wrong.

I know there's a lot of people here who know teams, x's and o's and that sort of thing and I think everyone knows what I'm saying: it should be obvious that this is not a very good team. Lot of talent for sure. But just not a very good team. This team could really could go 6-6. It really could.

What I'm seeing is that most fans just don't have the capacity to be honest with themselves ultimately.

In the immortal words of Gene Stallings, “A win is a win.” Still, though, what happened to the team that demolished WI and ran up a 30-7 lead on UGA?
My own theory is that in the age of NIL and the portal, wildly inconsistent play is the new normal. The UGA win disguised the fact that, even with our talent, there’s inexperience everywhere and a new staff with new schemes. Growing pains in the teeth of a brutal schedule were inevitable.
The obvious question mark is the defense….schemes, players, coaching - what is the issue and can we fix it/them?

This too. We got beat yet again at the LOS. And I know all of you see this. We just don't want to admit it. This is a very average team (lot of talent but as a team, it's average -- FSU has talent but somehow they're even worse than Bama).

I doubt they do that though. Who do you replace him with mid-season? It would have to be at the point where we're definitely out of it and even then, I doubt they fire the guy at the very least until the season is over.

No doubt about it. The open receivers and space on 3rd and longs has got to be fixed. Or, the pass rush has to actually get there - neither is happening right now.
