If it happens, it would be another guaranteed win for Michigan if they play each other. Milroe would be 0-3 against them.

Yeah, but that was last year. He fell way off the table this year. I don't know what happened after the Georgia game, but he went downhill fast. He almost refused to run in the big games. (except LSU, but he wasn't getting hit in that game). And he just had a lot of trouble getting the ball out to anyone. Must have been too focused on his corporate empire. He was the same QB last year, and the adjustments worked.
Then he’d be known as “Milro-for-three”If it happens, it would be another guaranteed win for Michigan if they play each other. Milroe would be 0-3 against them.
Ironically, Sark recruited him away from Texas.I've said this 100 times, but why not. Hurts, on his first day as a starter as a true freshman, was significantly better than Nilroe RIGHT NOW - and it's not even really close.
Also have said this a bunch. JM wasn't a guy we really went after. We missed on all the QBs we really wanted that year and he was the best we could get to flip. Once he was here we tried to get him to transfer or switch positions. He should have done one of those, but refused.
As for QB skills - that is on him to develop a lot in the off-season. He's hired different QB coaches since he was a freshman in HS, and still is what he is.
No one could have known that he was not going to improve at all. He was unstoppable in HS.Ironically, Sark recruited him away from Texas.
Not yet, but soonSo, have any announcements we are looking for been made yet?
Some kind of injury, perhaps?Yeah, but that was last year. He fell way off the table this year. I don't know what happened after the Georgia game, but he went downhill fast. To be fair, Rees was brought in by Saban to try to make chicken salad out of Milroe. Sheridan was brought in to run DeBoer's offense. Which was like mixing oil and water.I would have taken Rees yesterday
It's very hard to compare defenses from year to year. However, while we had a slew of stars on the defense, we struggled to get off the field at key times. This years D is currently ranked #1 in Total Defense, #24 in Rush defense, and #2 in Passing yards allowed. We were #18, #31, and #24 respectively in those categories last year. 3rd and 4th down percentage defense was improved this year. and scoring defense was the same.No they were not. Not even close. Having Ryan Turner,Arnold, Key, Downs, and Kool Aid last year in a defense that they were recruited to run is a far better defense instantly than starting a bunch of freshmen in a defense that they weren’t recruited to run. Yes we got better as the year went on but no we were nowhere near last year’s defense. Hell we gave up nearly 200 yards rushing in a half vs Oklahoma… that was a November game. When do you remember last year’s defense ever producing numbers like that?
played the long gameIronically, Sark recruited him away from Texas.
Fire didn't survive the q1 downpourYeah, but he had that fire in his eyes.![]()
As long as he is no where near tuscaloosa, it's a good thing.
I don't think Riley would be able to transform Milroe. Jalen Hurts took a year working on his skills backing up Tua before he went to Oklahoma. Jalen Hurts showed a lot of improvement in that year when he filled in for Tua especially against Georgia.
Hurts improved greatly under Dan Enos.the narrative that Riley turned Jalen Hurts into the player he became is just annoying.
Having said that, I have no problem with milroe going to USCw.
first guy in the building and stuff
Yep. Enos is an absolutely crappy person. But he can coach QB’s. A lot of the stuff Riley got credit for with Hurts at Oklahoma was from Jalen’s work with Enos here.Hurts improved greatly under Dan Enos.
Hurts was coachable. I'm not sure Milroe is. He's had QB coaches working with him for years and he just hasn't progressed.Hurts improved greatly under Dan Enos.

True.If GMac had tried something like this in 2008, younger Coach Saban would have said, "That is not how we do things here. There's the the door. We will do what we can to help find another place to play, but you are done here" (but probably in saltier language).
