spencer, because he didnt do anything to lose the game. nobody opened he threw it away or tucked it and ran. Thats all i ask from a quaterback. Marc had his week of practice and a chance, and now spencer got his. He deserves it.

Spencer, but not because I think he's better than

Guillon! I think you start Spencer because he did his job this week and won the game. You have to start him because he did exactly what was asked of him and didn't make any real mistakes!

Marc will start if he's good to go. Spencer played very well today within the game plan that the coaches designed. But, there were a couple of occasions where he had to deliever, and he couldn't. (Early in the 3rd quarter when KY came out shutting down our running game, Bama went 3 and outs). The best thing spencer did today is not turning the ball over. With that said, sooner or later there will come a time when we have to put the ball in the air, and I think that Marc gives us a better chance at doing that.

I think marc was in that situation plenty of times last week, and not only did he mis-fire, he threw it to the other team.

So was Spencer, and he looked worse than Marc against SC defense. You can't say that Marc will continue to struggle because he played poorly. You have to look at the positive things that both QBs did, and I think Marc gives us a better chance of airing it out when we are forced to.

I liken this to Anthony Bryant's dilema. He got injured and, in his absence, Rudy Griffin performed so well that he can't quite work his way back into the starting rotation. Bryant probably has better tools than Rudy; however, Rudy's getting the job done and there's nothing Bryant can do about it.

Let Spencer run the O until he proves he needs to be taken out.

umm spencer threw just as many is less time. plus spencer wasnt forced to do anything today. and sc is a much better team than kentucky
Now you guys just set yourselfs up. Come on spencer didnt get much practice that week, marc got all the reps. 2nd of all when spencer came into the game he was just thrown into the fire with no much of a chance, this week he got his fresh start. If marc wants to be the starter he can win it in practice.

I agree. As of right now, I'd say Spence should be tabbed to start, but give him and Guillon equal reps in practice and see who comes out ahead after Thursday.

I think either QB would've had success today against UK with that gameplan. But Pennington did play well, he stepped up and led us to a victory, and gained some confidence today. Unless Guillon really shines in practice next week then you gotta stay with Pennington. Bottom line -- Pennington played better today than Guillon has in his two starts. He deserves to get the start against USM.

gotta put the guy in who has the chemistry. right now, it's pennington. it appears our offense is now about running the ball and the qb is relegated to "not losing the game." that being the case, spencer did a good job of game management, and considering it's the first game of good qb management since brodie went down, spencer's got to get the nod.
