Stoops just said he'd vote LSU #1, OSU #2 in his ballot. I know it's his conference, but still, Stoops is just a waste these days. He's lost his team, and all this talk about whining, well he along with Mack Brown has been one of the worst over these past several years. I wonder how Stoops had his ranking last week.

Heck, Herbie just 'voted' for us, and even Mushburger had to admit LSU and Bama are #'s 1 & 2.

The doom-n-gloomers should take some time off if we get in to the BCSCG. The hand-wringing drama in this thread was unreal.

I expect all the coaches of the Big 12 to vote OSU 2, but I do think the SEC coaches will vote us two, including Miles. In the end, the coaches will promote their conference. There are 12 of us, 10 of them, but perhaps TAMU and Missou need to vote for their new conference.

Gundy is such an arse. He was saying Bama should be #2 all week just to set himself up to look more impartial when he said OSU shoud be #2 tonight. He is so phony baloney. I'd penalize him just for being smarmy! But you have it right, LSU would destroy OSU by halftime as would Bama!

Miles will abstain (if he has a vote). Tressell did the same thing when it was between UF & Michigan.

FWIW, Paul Finebaum voiced his suspicion that this was what Gundy was doing earlier in the week. It was also speculated that he may have been trying to motivate his team to prove him wrong. Either way, I'm not surprised by him changing his tune and it doesn't mean much.

Yeah, this was clearly a strategic move by Gundy - it was very transparent and may work against him.

Well, all we can do is wait and see. I'm not a doom and gloomer or whatever, I just happen to agree with Crimson Audio, we lost the chance to control our destiny on 11/5. BTW, it's not about anti-bama sentiment, OSU will be number 2 in the computers, it'll only take about 25% of the human voters to flip to push them over us. Will that happen? Who knows, I sure hope not, but there's no sense stressing and getting bent out of shape over it.

Yeah, Gundy was just positioning himself with the few less that savvy voters who might not see what stupid little sophomoric bs game he was playing. heck, if it worked with just one voter...it worked.

At the end of the day I think both camps feel we would beat Okie State..... I personally think we beat them 30-20. I just think winning your division and conference should mean something. Kinda like baseball back in '93 when 103 win Giants team got left out even though they won the 2nd most games in baseball.

That said, if enough voters keep us number two, I'll be there in the Superdome cheering for BAMA on January 9th.

If Gundy was playing games, unless he's truly stupid, then why did he say what he did last week?

Nothing OSU did tonight changes ANYTHING he said.

I think he's just amped and probably got some backlash for his honesty last week, so he's pushing OSU tonight.

If it was some 'plan' surely there'd be something more than 'we lost to an unranked team while they lost to the #1 team'...
