As the gates opened at Sanford Stadium Saturday for G-Day, one of Georgia’s top 2017 recruiting targets tweeted out that he had committed to the Bulldogs.
Cornerback William Poole III, the No. 12 cornerback prospect by Scout.com, tweeted he had pledged to the Bulldogs.
The 5-foot-11 ½ 179-pound Poole plays for Hapeville Charter Career Academy in College Park. Georgia was his first offer a year ago.
"One of the main things that set Georgia apart was thinking, if I got injured and couldn't play football, which school would I want to be at?,” Poole told Scout’s Chad Simmons. “Another thing was, after college, where would I want to live? Also, where do I want to have a job after college? Then, where can my family see me play on Saturdays more times than not — and that is right here at home.”
