Four Georgia football players who are projected as starters heading into summer workouts were tabbed for their progress in the team’s spring practice awards.
Wide receiver Jayson Stanley, offensive guard Lamont Gaillard, cornerback Juwuan Briscoe and inside linebacker Natrez Patrick were recognized as most improved players. Stanley, Briscoe and Patrick are sophomores and Gaillard is a redshirt sophomore.
Six players were named Coffee County Award winners for showing the most desire during spring practices: offensive tackle Greg Pyke, wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie, tight end Jeb Blazevich, outside linebackers D’Andre Walker and Lorenzo Carter and cornerback Malkom Parrish.
No MVPs for offense or defense were awarded.

Hugh Hendrix Award (Player who most strains his potential) – Brandon Kublanow, C, Marietta, Ga.; Isaiah Wynn, OT/OG, St. Petersburg, Fla.

Outstanding Walk-On – Tommy Long, OLB, Marietta, Ga.; Alex Essex, DT, Richmond, Va.
Hugh Hendrix Award (Player who most strains his potential) – John Atkins, N, Thomson, Ga.
ACADEMICS
GPA – John Courson, SN, Athens, Ga. (4.00 – Biology and Psychology); Billy Seward, OT, Watkinsville, Ga. (3.77 – Finance and Economics); Jackson Harris, TE, Columbia, Tenn. (3.76 – Mechanical Engineering)
COMMUNITY SERVICE
