Georgia is a top-10 team again.
The Bulldogs jumped up to No. 9 in both the Associated Press and Amway Coaches' polls on Tuesday. Georgia rose nine spots in the AP poll and seven spots in the coaches' poll after the Bulldogs' 33-24 win over a ranked North Carolina team Saturday. Only No. 6 Houston moved up as much from its preseason ranking as Georgia in the AP poll.
It’s the first time the Bulldogs have been ranked in the top 10 since they started 4-0 last season and were No. 6 in the coaches’ poll and No. 8 in the Associated Press poll. They slid down after a 38-10 home loss the next week to Alabama.
Georgia is the second-highest ranked SEC team after No. 1 Alabama in both polls. Tennessee is next at No. 14 in the coaches' and No. 17 in the AP.
