According to the National Football Post, Ohio State QB Terrelle Pryor – who has been suspended for the first five games of next season – is considering entering the NFL Supplemental draft. “According to a source, the odds of Pryor staying for his senior season are about 60-40, but Notre Dame receiver Michael Floyd coming out and declaring for the supplemental draft would have a direct effect on his decision.”

I thought Tressel made him promise he wouldn't go pro so he could play in the Sugar Bowl against Arkansas. I guess the kitchen is way to hot.

I think the proverbial "crap" is about to hit the fan up there and Pryor is bailing like a rat from a sinking ship. It would not surprise me to see more info come to light in the near future about his, Tressel's, and the rest of OSU's transgressions.

In a way, I don't blame him. Why sit for 5 games when you can go to the NFL and get paid. At the same time though, you have to wonder if someone is going to want him.

That was before we all knew that Tressel was in this thing up to his eyeballs...

He is so behind in his development, that sitting for 5 games could ruin him. I don't think he makes it in the NFL anyway.

He's a good enough athlete that, put in the right situation, he could be a decent asset to some team..definitely not as a QB, but as wildcard/playmaker type.

What a joke that was. An admitted liar and an admited cheat. That promise was worthless to begin with. I could not believe Pryor did not declare for the draft. I was shocked. Now I am not.

I agree. I've always thought he had terrible footwork in the pocket and his pocket presence always seemed under developed. He always wants to roll out at any hint of pressure. He needs to develope better consistency and accuracy with his passes. He has great size for the position, but, he's never preformed to a level that equals the love ESPN shows him. He's still living off his potential and not his results. IMO

Money wise, what type of hit will he take financially going in the supplemantal draft vs the main draft?

I doubt he would've gone in the 1st couple of rounds had he declared anyway. And with the rookie wage scale being a big part of this labor dispute, it really just depends on what his agent can haggle out of a team. And ultimately, what he makes will depend on his performance. The most famous supplemental draft guys are Bernie Kosar, Cris Carter, (our very own) Bobby Humphrey, and Brian Bosworth. At least a couple of those guys did ok financially.

So if he decides to go then I guess OSU will be guaranteed some major probation for breaking the agreement with the NCAA (it was probably coming regardless). Can't say that I'm upset about the thought of that. ;)

That's why I think the 5 game suspension all but kills his chances as an NFL QB. I think he has to come out now because of what you say.

I can't wait to see what happens here with this. On the lighter side, check the comments below, they are truly entertaining.

Assuming that there is an NFL season this year.

Re: Ohio St. QB Terrelle Pryor Reportedly Thinking of Entering the NFL Supplemental D

I agree with you 100%. This season is all but a wash for Ohio St. Those guys are suspended for 5 games, and the popular belief is that Tressel will be suspended for longer than the players (during which time he can't even be at practice!). Nah..I wouldn't stay around either.

Re: Ohio St. QB Terrelle Pryor Reportedly Thinking of Entering the NFL Supplemental D

Apparently, the report is bogus. Until I read anywhere that Pryor has signed papers to get in the supplemental draft, I'll treat this report as such. Sorry to create a roar without following up on the details.
