our kicking game

With the new kick-off rules I've been concerned about length/hang-time and coverage. The touch-back percentage was pretty weak last year and gave up some healthy returns too often putting the D in a bad position to start. I suspect more of the same this year but improvement in this area would help the D immensely. To counter, Bama's return game looks as good as any SEC team. Time will tell.

Well i guess a nice way to put this is that i'll be holding my breath if the game depends on it. Not sayin he can't prove himself and he's not a wonderful kicker, but, well, you all know what happened last year.

On the other hand, if CNS says he's great, then I believe him.

I hold my breath anytime you have to put the game on the shoulders of any kicker. In a perfect world we'd never have to do that.

I think Tiffin got more experience in one game than most kickers get in a career. He has already weathered the worst of storms, he will be fine.

I guess one question has occurred to me. Who is Tiffin's backup now? If Jamie can't go and (heaven forbid but the last 10 years has taught me to prepare for the worst) Tiffin has, say, stomach flu, who gets the call?
