Ok ... not understanding something...

LSU fans are talking about their schedule vs ours. In comparing ...

Obviously, the Oregon win is a good one ..(Of course they now have 2 losses)
Northwestern St. ... I think our GSU win is better than that one
Miss St ... we both played and beat by about same margin
West Virginia ... another good win (I think comparable to our PSU win)
Kentucky ... bottom of SEC East ( I think our Vandy win is better than this one)
Florida ... both played and beat by about same margin
Tenn ... both played and beat by about same margin
Auburn ...both played and beat by about same margin
Auburn ... both played and beat by about same margin
West. Ky ... whatever
Ole Miss ... both played and beat about same
Arkansas... both played and beat about same

So where am I missing that their schedule is so much harder than ours besides the Oregon game? I am not trying to disrespect at all, just truly wondering.

It looks very impressive when you consider what the teams that they played were ranked when they played them. The differences come down to two games:

Oregon - we have no answer for this one
LSU/Bama - they won, so they get credit for the victory, we do not

True. But Florida was better when we played them.

Oregon is the only win they have which trumps any of Bama's. The Penn State win is better than their WVU win because Penn State had a tougher defense and is, even now, ranked above them. PSU has fallen apart somewhat after all the Sandusky stuff came out (understandably), but they were no cupcake and were ranked in the mid teens for a while. The rest is a wash, and I give us an edge in the Florida game - our guys had to face Brantley. LSU just had to deal with the 3rd string QB and beat them by the same margin. Also, I'd say that Georgia Southern is a much tougher opponent than Western Kentucky. The triple option would have given LSU's defense fits too.

So all they've got to hang their hat on as far as I can see is Oregon. And we all know how great that Oregon defense is... Bama would have beaten them as well, had they played them.

They will also have a ten-win Georgia team on their wall Saturday night.

I don't think this is very productive. Anyone who plays in the SEC has a pretty tough schedule.

Don't forget we did a big favor for LSU by playing Florida the week before they did. We knocked Florida's 1 and 2 quarterbacks out, so when LSU played Florida, Florida was using a #3 qb that had not taken a snap. I think that counters Oregon. Krymsonman

I agree....but LSU fans are screaming how down the SEC is this year (5 ten win teams however) and how bad Alabama's schedule is.

i'll say it, jinx or no jinx. if we play them again, and IF we don't shoot ourselves in the foot like we did earlier this year, we beat them handily.
