Pac 10 Commissioner, Tom Hansen, on allegations of improper benefits for USC's Reggie Bush.

"One of the available penalties would be forfeiture of games. I want to caution that that's a long way from where we are right now."

The SEC helped the NCAA when they went after Bama. The PAC 10 is protecting USC. Which conference would you rather be a part of?

I see nothing wrong with a show of loyalty. Make the NZAA do this without your help...

I know this is a longshot from happening, but....

If USC is forced to forfeit the 2004 National Championship Title...

who would it go to....Auburn perhaps??

I sure hope not :rolleye2:

Wishful thinking on Auburn's part. More than likely if that was to happen there would be a * title vacated for that season.

You could be right. Both Auburn and Oklahoma would be undefeated and 13 - 0. Oklahoma only had 1 impressive win (Texas), Auburn had 5 pretty good wins (TN twice, LSU, GA, and Va Tech). I wonder what would happen, since the NCAA itself doesn't crown a champion in Div 1 football. I would think that the media would try to make some money out of the opportunity to name someone else champion that year. It isn't like them to walk away from an opportunity to cash in on anything...

All I see is maybe a little more "red tape" to cut through as far as things go at USC. More paperwork to fill out for compliance is really all that is at the end of the day.

No sanctions, no probation, no scholarship restrictions, just some bad press is all they will get.

Only thing that matters to me is that we win every Saturday.

RTR!
