7-5 could happen, but lord if it does it means a lot of things really didn't go right..
I agree but I also agree with Padre's range.

It's just so difficult to predict what's going to happen.

I don't know the exact numbers but the amount of roster turnover from 2023 to 2024 has to be the biggest one we've ever had in school history because of the Portal and CNS retiring and Rats jumping after Bags of $$$.

I really do love the entire Coaching staff and think they will be the best Top to Bottom staff we've had in a LONG time.

We also still have a LOT of Talent and that's a positive.

But I'm still mainly worried about Chemistry and also how everyone is learning a new system on both sides of the ball.

I know a lot of other teams across the country have dealt with Roster turnover via the Portal but it still seems like we were hit the worst in the aftermath of CNS's retirement.

Then you add on OU and Texas joining the Conf and our schedule just being a Brutal Gauntlet.

I just feel like almost anything could happen this year and I won't be shocked.

Barring major injuries, I'm expecting 10-2. I think we lose to UGA, then drop another one somewhere along the way - maybe UT or possibly LSU. Injuries could push us to 9-3.

The benefit of a new system is early on no one will have had any film on what it will look like. The Washington tape would be just a rough shell of what we'll run. CKD has a completely different talent level with this team than he's ever had with any team he's coached. So there's no telling what he'll tweek with his scheme knowing he has more talent to work with.

I know this is a new staff with new schemes and total new environment at the Capstone but my expectations are way higher. We all agree this is a very good staff. We all know that we have a top 5 roster top to bottom. There are new conference members and new schedules...but everyone has to deal with that. I would set the over and under of games lost at 2 and I'd go under. There is some energy with this group and I think everyone on the team has something to prove.

I'm excited about this coaching staff. This is the best overall staff we've had in years.

I hope the kids are all bought in and ready to go. I think we'll manage to go 10-2 and make the playoff. Worst case scenario I think is 9-3.

A lot will depend on how well Milroe grasps the new offense and executes on the field. We'll find out his growth vs Wisconsin.

The defense has 3 games to get ready before they face a very good QB vs Georgia. I worry about that game getting out of hand.

It seems some of these sports figures don't realize the amount of talent returning from last year's team that made it to the playoffs and beat Georgia. But Josh gets it. The offense will be hard to stop. The defense will likely be somewhere in the top half of the SEC defenses. But likely improves as those talented freshmen get experience. I just don't see Bama doing worse than 10-2. And 12-0 would not surprise me at all.

Sounds good...however a lot has to come together with all the newbies especially in the defensive backfield. However, there is talent all over the field, to be sure.

I think the starters in the backfield will be fine. They're talented and have experience. My concern is depth, with so many 2nd string having no college experience. But they are very talented, with three 5* and one 4* who plays like a 5*. I hope they get a lot of experience in the first 2 games.

7-5 would be a disaster and could bode awful things for the future, both in terms of recruiting and faith in whether DeBoer was the right choice.

I don't care how much more difficult the schedule is from what DeBoer has faced in the past or even what we've faced in the past.

This is still one of the most talented rosters in the country.

Is it possible? Sure. Heck, it's possible we could go 4-8.

7-5 would be a total disaster.

Funny, uga is not a worry for me. Any former coach of Saban is going to have problems with Bama because we will have equal to greater talent and play calling way less predictable. That happened to Sark by this coach, twice, and he lost to inferior talent. I don't know, think the top dog in the conference is re emerging and resides in Tuscaloosa.

I just don’t see Kirby coming into Tuscaloosa and beating us straight up. I didn’t see Texas doing that either, but we’ll see.

If I'm not mistaken CKD is 2-0 against Dan Lanning and 2-0 against Sark, so he's definitely not going to be the inferior coach on the field.

It’s going to depend on our QB play.

Kirby will not take the same bone headed approach as last year’s SECCG.

He’s probably studied how Mich played us and UW All Off Season.
