Video: Pate's reaction to the Rose Bowl

Okay. I’ll do it.

Me to ChatGPT: Please give me a TLDR on Josh Pate’s video response to Alabama‘s loss to IU in the Rose Bowl

ChatGPT Response; Here’s the quick, no-nonsense TL;DR of what Josh Pate said in his video reaction to Alabama’s loss to Indiana in the Rose Bowl — capturing the core of his take (as discussed in clips/reactions online):

  • Pate didn’t focus on the blowout score so much as the broader narrative impact of Indiana’s success.
  • He argued that if a program like Indiana (historically a non-powerhouse) can become elite so quickly, it will warp expectations across college football — fans and boosters will start expecting every new coach to “turn things around RIGHT NOW,” even though that’s unrealistic.
  • His point was less about criticizing Indiana or Alabama specifically and more about how the expectations mechanism in college football could get even more irrational (everyone thinks they can hire the next miracle coach).
  • People online are debating whether that’s a legit strategic insight or just hot take fodder. .

Got it, won't have to worry about me posting his videos again. This is ridiculous.

ChatGPT didn't watch the same video I did

He clearly focused on the score. Said it could've been worse

He's said #2-3 multiple times before, but I don't remember it from this video. Maybe I missed it tho

About Bama, he said something to the effect of "Everything has to be considered/evaluated" (I don't think he meant CKD's job security)

And this is my experience with AI and YouTube videos:

Having listened to the whole thing....this summary is not even close to what he said! lol

I appreciate that you share them even though I’m personally not a fan of Pate.

Some people do enjoy his take though.

I could tolerate him more if I felt like he took accountability for how wrong his takes are and how often they are wrong.

Maybe he does in this one?

Hope so because he was major major wrong… again.
