PHOTO THREAD.......post whatever pics you want.....

Marilyn Monroe at a party at Cap Watkins beach house. Tommy Zahn in front of Marilyn, bottom-left corner. In middle is Lorrin Harrison, with Jackie Coogan above Lorrin, and Cal Porter standing behind Coogan. Behind Marilyn is Don McMahon and possibly Mickey Moniz behind him.

Before her rhinoplasty. She was dating one, until the studio yanked her away.

Picked up some Sunpatiens at a local nursery last week. This is the house where they keep them. If you've never used them before in your flower garden you may want to give them a try. They are really fantastic for color with an almost zero maintenance requirement.

This nursery has been in business for many many years. Family owned and very friendly.......

@Bazza
I’m in the panhandle and looking for a good nursery that grows and delivers satsuma trees. Do you have a go to source for those?

I’m headed offshore tonight, so I may not respond for a couple days.
Thanks

I don't, Tug. Is this for the Panama City area?

Edit: I just looked for a wholesale nursery near you that carried them and didn't find any. You'll have to dial up a local garden center and ask them. Or you could also check with your local extension service.

Looks like this is it:

Home Depot and Lowes also carries *some* citrus products but not sure if I've even seen any Satsuma there.

Good luck....sorry I couldn't be of more help!

I appreciate you taking the time @Bazza
I’ve been looking online at some of the South/Central FL nurseries that ship via UPS.
I probably should have said ship vs delivery as it doesn’t have to local. Our extension center has some really helpful folks that have helped in the past. I had forgotten about them as a resource. Thanks for the reminder.

Another question: Have you ever had any luck with the grafted Fruit Cocktail trees?

You're very welcome @Tug Tide.

Regarding the grafted fruit cocktails.....I wish I could give you some first hand feedback but I've never really tried growing ANY citrus myself. Too many issues for me to make it worth while.

Everyone has a different philosophy, I'm sure.

I do however have a close friend who works at his family nursery in this area and they deal in a lot of citrus so I will get his take and get back to you. If you're talking citrus/fruit cocktail, would think you'd have to be concerned about freezes where you are so would want to use this as a patio contained specimen to cover up / bring inside during freeze events.

Stay safe! ;)

We have a got bit of mature citrus trees in our neighborhood. I think if you take care of them (potted and move inside when necessary) when they’re young, they tend to do well.
I was asking about the citrus version, but I’ve seen them also in stone fruits too. My kids are finally old enough to enjoy the rewards of helping me take care of the vegetable gardens and I thought they’d love a couple of those trees. Again thanks for the input

They look just like new guinea impatiens, I guess just a different regional name for same thing?
