There are no significant changes to either of these but the terms page does clarify a few things that are mostly in the legalese. You can just click the checkbox for both and continue using the site as usual! We'll update you more on the site upgrades VERY soon! oof....

Stuff like this is why they lost the election and are losing support from people of color.

The Democrats could really use an infusion of fresh thinking and new ideas....... 🤷‍♂️
No objection to the thought that Democrats need to change their approach to reaching voters, but pointing out that the Voter ID proposals as well as the Trump-inspired proposed voting changes will disproportionately make it more difficult for minorities to vote isn’t the reason they lost. As much as Trumpers and “I hate Trump, but he’s great” people might want the opposition to go away, speaking up to stop injustice isn’t a losing strategy.

OK but that cartoon you posted didn't really come across (to me) as having anything to do with voting laws. Adding to this - when the state of Georgia had their voting laws tweaked it was called "Jim Crow 2.0" by the Democrats. Yet it turns out people of color turnout was higher than in previous elections, no?

Doesn't this seem to indicate it's the Democrats who are hurting "minorities"?

I can't speak for anyone else but as someone who voted for and still supports Trump, I don't have a problem at all with anyone who has a different political stance than me.

Why would that bother me?

Especially on a message board. Which serves a purpose to have discussions - not foster hatred and bullying.

I want people to support and vote for whomever they want.

You too, Bazza! What would we talk about if everyone saw things the same?

I don't know, Bazza. It literally says "voters to suppress," so that's how I saw it. It is a cartoon though, so it's open to interpretation.

I don't think Democrats are hurting minorities (I'd be interested in hearing how Trump's presidency is helping them). I think the economy combined with Trump's persona and the Democratic bungling led to the 2024 result. And while the overall number of black voters in Georgia increased in 2024, as a percentage it was down from 2020.

It's the denial that Republicans are trying to make it harder for minorities to vote and that Democrats would be better off to stop talking about it that I'm referring to. I'm rejecting the self-serving advice more than saying anyone is trying to shut down opposing voices.
