So who's everbody's least favorite coach. Any Former or Current Coach. Who is everybody's equilvalent to Dallas's J.R. the man you just love to hate.

The Fattest Phatty in all of Phattyfatterson County

Fat Phil, of course.

Franchione (No. 2) has been stewing in his own juices almost from the day he stepped foot in College Station, so you gotta love that.

Yeah, to me Fatty and Franny are today what Pat Dye was then, but then again does everyone remember the UGA game in 2002 with Pat Dye.

Philip Fulmer, only because he has beaten us like a yard dog. His record against us is 9-2-1. Oh, but that's only because of probation, right guys?

We all believed and trusted Coach Fran. I can't stand Fulmer with a passion, but this should not be a close answer. Fran lied and betrayed everyone that wears Crimson. Just remember Bama fans - We all were behind this liar

Not the only reason, but it's dang sure been a contributing factor. How could it not?

Sorry, and my opinion will surely not be popular, but Fulmer could not have damaged the program as much as he did without the complicit assistance of one Mike Dubose. And this comes from one who supported him for the job.

Whether he was "over his head" or not (and I believe this was an excellent example of the Peter Principle at work), he totally lost control of his staff and team, which contributed to the circumstances leading to probation. Not only that, but he has persistantly refused to own up to any responsibility in the matter, and is currently assuming the victim mentality, as if was the wronged party. One only has to listen to his interview on Finebaum as an example.

Mike Price was just a middle aged idiot who didn't realize what sort of situation he was getting into. Mike Dubose should have been well aware of what coaching at Alabama entailed.

With Absolutely No Doubt Whatsoever

it has to be The Great Pumpkin - Fulmer! But if it was a coach that is no longer active, I might be forced to go with Tom Osborne who referred to Coach Bryant as a "son of buck" as I recall.

I wish I would have added Terry Bowden to the list, I went to his football camp when I was in Highschool, he was still a head coach at Samford. I remember I didn't like him then and that hatred just kind of bleed into his career at the Barn and even as a (and I try to say this with a straight face) sports analyst.

Agreed. Dubose got my vote, took a stellar program and put us where we are today...

Without a doubt...

FRAN! fat phil is a very close second, but i don't think i have ever felt more betrayed then when that lying backstabbing phony got on that airplane to a&m.

i get mad thinking about it! .. thinking about what he did to our players. and all the lies he told leading up to it :mad2:

Of those hwo have coached at Bama, Fraudchione is the easy winner. He lied to us, and then didn't even have the cojones to face the players he was leaving.

The Kripsy Kreme poster boy is the easy winner among opposition coaches.

This was a tough decision, since there are three very good candidates to me: Fraud, Phattimus and Dumbose.

If what has been posted here recently is true, that Fraud only came here as a stepping stone back to Texas and that the real UT nor A&M could hire a TCU coach, then I hate him a scintilla less than before. At least it shows the regard Alabama is held in by other schools. I still hate the spineless way he handled the situation and the way he lied, but we didn't need a "Man Teats" coach anyway.

I'm annoyed that Dumbose has refused to take any blame for the entire situation and started giving more sermons than Billy Graham. Of course I thought from the beginning that he did not have the experience for the job, so I can't really hold it against a guy who knowing he can't swim finds himself thrown in the ocean in shark infested waters and grabs on to anything that floats. Debbiegate is another matter.

So that leaves the Phat one. His record against us, the fact that UT has become Teflon U and Thug U under him, breaking the "code" of league coaches and turning us in, his sanctimonious attitude, etc. ad nauseum makes him the clear winner to me.

Edit: By the way, how can anyone hate Tubby? I mean look at the poor guy, he's the best coach the cow college has had in years and he's always on the hotseat, he survived a knife wielding assistant breeding discontent worthy of Brother Oliver, he survived a failed coup that only made the school look even more ridiculous, and racked up an undefeated season only to still be ranked third in the country, forever proving that AU is second-class. Frankly, I feel sorry for the guy.
