What about Newton's punch in the face on the scramble instead of the stiff arm? It was not called. The official told him not to do it again.
"Just really disappointed in that," Chizik said. "That's a lot of reflection on us as coaches, and I'm embarrassed by it. That's not who we are. That's not the way we carry ourselves, and we will address it (Sunday)."
The refs should have ejected him for that hit. He would be paying out his arse if he was in the the league. What I would not mind seeing in the IB is a good undercut block on his knee caps.the SEC should suspend him for that late hit. He led with his head.
Not me. You can been "mean and nasty" and not resort to using dirty tactics. Talent wise, Fairley doesn't need to play dirty, it seems he wants to play dirty.I know that I am in the minority, but I like my defensive linemen mean and nasty. I'll take a few late hit penalties along with the sacks and disrupted plays. Fairley is a beast and I would love to see him in Crimson and White.
Tracy Wolfson, I think had mentioned this to DC Ted Roof and of course he was not aware of any complaints. I cringe everytime I hear mention of AU "family".Danielson made a comment that some of the SEC coaches had mentioned his dirty play.
Agreed.I know that I am in the minority, but I like my defensive linemen mean and nasty. I'll take a few late hit penalties along with the sacks and disrupted plays. Fairley is a beast and I would love to see him in Crimson and White.
That said, the late hit where he put his helmet in the middle of Murray' back was over the top.
Correct. I suspect we will see more of their childish behavior in the IB.Wrong..that's exactly what Auburn's team and program is, and everyone knows it.
i don't see how he didn't draw more flags, as much as it seemed richt was trying to draw attention to his play...not doubt dirty play, i thought so from the ark game toothe SEC should suspend him for that late hit. He led with his head.
I say we teach Cam and Fairley a few things. I didn't see the end of the game. Is there video of it somewhere?
