Question on Brodie's Eligibility.

Hey guys, I have been wondering about Brodie's playing time last year, and if he exceeded the time that you needed to stay under for a redshirt. I don't want to start any speculation, but Jason White didn't think that he was going to get a medical redshirt for that 2002 game against us. He found out after the 2003 season that the NCAA was giving that year back to him. I don't know what the rules are, or even if Brodie would want to come back again (I assume he wants to leave after being here for 5 years and the possibility of a NFL career). I was just wanting to see what you guys thought the probability was that he would get last year back with a medical redshirt. He played in 9 quarters, and I was told that the limit was 8 quarters.

It's been answered a million times. Brodie will NOT be back next year! Even if he could, he wouldn't.

He said that he wasn't coming back regardless....and i believe he played ONE quarter too much to get the extra year back.....right?

Stan White

That rule only applies to Auburn. I believe Tre Smith is in his 6th year which means he has 2 years left.
Let's not forget the tenure of Stan White at Auburn. I believe he was there at least 6 years. I know he and Pat Nix took up a decade of Auburn football between the two of them.

RTR!
