Lord, GMAC was gushing over Ty and what he saw at the scrimmage. Just so those who choose not to listen to the entire show understand, Greg attended the first scrimmage in its entirety, so he saw the team firsthand. He said Ty looked like he was in full command of the offense. That's what I've been waiting to hear: how much command does he have, and it seems like (according to GMAC) he has full command. That's good news for us.

I like hearing that the QB position looks good, it’s certainly better than the alternative. Everything flows from solid QB play; efficient offense, ball control, which then leads to keeping the defense off the field. With that said, I’ve heard so many positive things from fall camp over the years that didn’t pan-out like we wanted. I will say that there was nothing McElroy said that sounded hyperbolic.

And GMAC isn't known for overly praising the program, as a matter of fact, he tends to lean toward the critical when talking about Alabama.

I'm really looking forward to consistent play from the QB position again. I've missed that.

Love this. Good for Ty. If he's as ready as it sounds like he is then we just need our RT to work out and I think we are playoff bound.

Chris Low is reporting that a starter has been named at quarterback for Alabama. No surprise it is Ty Simpson.

Sounds like Ty has complete command of the CKD Offense.

He’s confident and making the calls at the LOS and getting the ball out to the correct reads.

I’m really excited about seeing an efficient and effective offense being operated again.
Yep - and saying something like knowing exactly where to go with the football and letting your feet talk to you, means he totally gets it, and he is in sync with the play call and route options, matching his footwork to the expected route(s). hearing that is almost like a choir of angels at this point. Now he's just got to prove he can do it under live fire.
