Questions about Milroe.

I don't know JM at all. All I know about him is what I see on camera and from what I hear from people close to the program.

I do know Cam and have been around him numerous times. My thoughts are this...

What you see is what you get from Cam. Whether you like him or not is your own personal opinion and I won't argue for or against that. More than likely if he was Bama's QB and he led us to a NC then many of you would change your opinion on him, if I had to guess.

I'm not so sure we get the full picture from JM. He says the right things and comes off as the type of guy you would let date your daughter. He is phenomenal in front of the camera and gives team first mentality answers. Again, I have zero experience with being around him so file this under "intellectual guessing", but something doesn't add up when it comes to him for me.
I don't doubt you there, dub.

When Milroe makes a bad play he doesn't say "we"...which $cam did numerous times.

Maybe we just haven’t seen it yet. Cam wasn’t so terrible at the Barn. He started showing his rear after tuning pro when pretense was no longer necessary.
I disagree!

Did you watch the final series of that game against Oregon? He was supposed to take a knee in the middle of the field to give the kicker a better angle for the fg. He chose to go hero-ball and tried to score the winning points himself and was extremely lucky not to get the ball stripped on the tackle...

Dude is a narcissist.

This is a discussion board. But guys, I think we've crossed the line between discussion and beating a dead horse.

Jalen Milroe's strong points and flaws, physical and emotional, are well-known and thoroughly discussed. Likewise off-field factors that might or might not exist. And if they exist, might or might not have affected the locker room.

Still, it's clear that barring an injury more serious than one he might or might not already have, Milroe is our QB. Lots of might-or-might-nots here, I know.

It's been some weeks since we've had any new observations -- except possibly a hidden injury. Lots of evidence illustrating this or that known attribute (positive and negative). But nothing really new. In fact, nothing really new dating back to Saban's last year.

Regardless, unless your name is Kalen DeBoer or Nick Sheridan, what any of us think doesn't matter.

Discuss on if you wish. But I no longer see any point.

I'm late to this thread, so if this has already been answered, I apologize.

Are we to understand the 1st half of the Georgia game -- where Milroe was playing lights out -- was just a fluke?
I think the 1st half of the Georgia game was a glimpse of what this offense is capable of if the players play close to their potential. They are capable of being very good.

I think it’s worth continuing discussions if for nothing else for any players who read here.

I want the guys who aren’t apart of the behind the scenes shenanigans to know most of us don’t like it either.

Then for the guys who are apart of the shenanigans I want for them to also see it’s not well received by most fans.

If the latter group doesn’t like it.

GOOD

I don’t like them either so we’re on even ground.

They are a cancer to our program and I want ever single one of them gone with a quickness.

There was a very good reason Saban did not want well connected insiders telling locker room stories about the team while he was coaching here.
I wish our fan base would show DeBoer the same courtesy.

Totally agree at this point, nothing left to discuss until the LSU game. We ride or die with Milroe.

Where ever there's BBQ, Bourbon & Football
I think you are right. Bama will be a bit healthier, better rested, and hopefully better prepared. It is a long season and from this point on, each game is a play-off elimination game.
They also should be more versed in the offensive system. At this stage (game 9 of the season) a lot of the "new" should be minimizing and mental and physical muscle memory should be taking over. We should be playing faster on both sides of the ball in two weeks.

Fingers crossed.

LSU has got to be nervous after what they let the Aggie backup QB do to them

I truly want Milroe to be successful. Partly because he seems like a good dude and partly because I want Alabama to win games.

I will admit I know nothing about football, but to my novice eyes, Milroe looks like an incredible athlete that is still figuring out how to play qb.

Milroe seems to be a very inconsistent passer and I think he will have to run in order to be successful. So, why have all the designed qb run plays that showed up against Georgia disappeared? Did they work once but now teams have figured it out? Was the TN D line too stout? Just trying to understand.
Long story short. Milroe is a RB who is playing QB and the offensive scheme is designed for a true pocket passer with an ability to run if needed. Hence the questions as to why Ty Simpson is not starting. Few sites have suggested team players said if JM was benched they wouldn't play and while I don't believe that to be true it could be.
To put it on point either the game plan must change like last year or the QB change must occur.
