Friends on the inside at Oklahoma State say Barry already has a number and locker waiting for him. Guess the number. 21...

Easily a 5 star RB...

His dad was one of the best, until he quit. Lenny Patrick comes to mind...

I think I know the point that you are trying to make, but I don't think I would put Lenny Patrick in the same class as Barry Sanders. Sanders didn't slack-off or quit until he reached an acceptable retirement age. Some of these guys, BRETT FAVRE-BRETT FAVRE-BRETT FAVRE, can't let go and often end up limping or worse for the rest of their lives. However, Sanders left on his terms after doing everything except winning a championship.

Gotta respectfully disagree here. Hard to compare winning a Heisman (without being on TV, no less), followed by a 9-year NFL HOF career against a guy who never lived up to his promise and who today admits to not giving his best effort.

Plus, I just can't characterize going out on top, after 9 years in the league, while still healthy and being able to enjoy a financially comfortable and physically vital retirement as "quitting."

Agreed 100%. Sanders was amazing. Very few RB's could even considered in his league but I don't know of a RB that is similar to him in style. He was one of a kind.

He looks just like his Dad to me only faster. We must feel we have no chance at all to land him or I believe we would have offered him. He's the best looking back I've seen of all the prospects including Malcolm Brown.

Here's a good vid of the youngster..

wow, He sure would look good in Crimson. I wonder how he would hold up against linebackers that are 250 and run a 4.5????? His Dad was the best and the fruit sure doesn't seem to have fallen far from the tree.

I don't know anything about whether were recruiting him,But if he is as classy as his father I wouldn't blink a eye about going after him.:BigA::BigA:

Not sure he has the moves his dad had but he sure is faster. The lion king could make a 5 yard loss look great.

Yep. The last run in this video is probably my favorite Barry Sanders highlight and probably one of the greatest runs you'll ever see. His balance was simply uncanny.

Its always tough to judge tape without knowing the level of competition, but this kid has some serious jets and outstanding lateral quickness.

He just needs to throw in a spin move or two and I would swear its his dad running around out there.

Excellent point!
