If we got in on this guy, and landed him, I would do back flips from signing day until the start of fall camp. However, I think the only SEC team with a shot is LSU. I think he ends up at Cal or UCLA.

if he is a top player, saban got a feel for his interest and went from there. which means there was none.

I'm not sure any of our current coaches have much in the way of California ties. It's hard to recruit someone where nobody on the staff has an 'in' with a recruit's high school coach or family. Also, you have to weight the cost in time and money spent to evaluate and visit one prospect in California against evaluating and visiting 5 in-state/in-region prospects.
