Who I think it will be: Sanders, Gibbs, Jase, Williams, Camar

Who I kinda hope it will be: Gibbs, Jase, Williams, Camar, Sanders

I am pulling for Sanders, but he needs to pick up his speed and quickness again.
what ive been kind of looking at is jase might not be ready to start bc his injury happened like 5 games in so i see it being gibbs and sanders until jase gets back then i see jase being the 3rd down guy.

I honestly have no idea. If I had to guess, and assuming everyone is healthy, then I'd go

RB1a: Gibbs
RB1b: Jase
RB3: Williams/Wheaton
RB4: Sanders

I really hope Wheaton (assuming he's healthy) gets a shot.

Sanders is a good story but I'm just not convinced he's a difference maker after his injuries. Roydell does have a really special burst so if his vision improves I could see him making some noise.

I don't think McClellan and Williams come back strong next year after torn ACL's. I think it takes them until 2023 to return to form. Who knows with Wheaton since nobody was ever forthcoming about his injury. If Gibbs is healthy and our OL is at all decent, he is a huge upgrade from this year.

i think henderson coming in too has an opportunity this spring to really show what he has to offer with the injuries to jase and roydell

There is a good chance Jase or Roydell could sit this one out this fall. Jase could be back by Fall came. He would be limited for a while.

So August: Gibbs/Sanders/Henderson or Wheaton (Henderson plays 4 game and then redshirt)
October: Gibbs/Sanders/Wheaton and/or McClellan
December: Gibbs/McClellan/Sander

Wheaton, WIlliams and McClellan will not be 100 percent at the start of fall camp. So I kinda expect Henderson to be #3 option, and they won't try and play him much unless he's real good. McClellan should be back as No. 2 behind Gibbs by Late October.

If all were healthy you have to think there would be some in the portal. May still happen but I hope not.

I think we see at least one of these RBs in the Transfer portal, possibly two not sure which one or ones it will be. Don't we have a freshman RB who flipped from Texas coming in?

I see at least 2 transferring simply because it ain’t enough room. Puts you in the mind of the 2013 RB field that suffered some attrition

Hard to tell about the others yet due to their knee injuries. It just depends on their rehab and the mental aspect of the game. I hope they all stay and none go to the portal. If healthy, they will all be great RB's in their own way. If they all get better/100 percent at different times, then maybe some RB's can play in 4 games and then redshirt, based on their recovery timeline. RTR

i just think if jase is healthy he is too good to keep off the field. Some of the plays he made this year before the injury were just dynamic. I get some Glenn Coffee vibes from him.

Agree with all the thoughts about it really depending on how healthy all the injured guys are. Gibbs will be #1 or #2, worst case. We don't bring in transfers these days without a plan for them to be significant contributors (Landon, To'o To'o, JAMO). Sanders certainly progressed through the year, but still wasn't 100%. Just depends on how rehab goes after that...

If you remember, against the hurricanes we ran a lot of 2 back pro sets. I believe This is a formation coach BoB likes. Mix it up with 12 and 13 personnel and we have our base offenses for next year . So I think we see a lot of 2 backs, especially given the depth at the position. and the youth at Wideout.

Does anyone know if Wheaton is a real person? I read an article that said he hadn't even been seen since September. Was he ever on the sidelines for a game?
I was wondering the same thing. I don't remember hearing anything about him during the season and have no idea what his injury was.

Running back was not our problem last year. If Gibbs is a huge upgrade over BRob, he will be an All-American.

It was a meniscus injury, but there were no more details given about degree, nor have I seen anything about him related to rehab, etc like seems to trickle out from other players who are working their way back...
