I don't see Miami using a 6ft QB. Fayson needs to come to BAMA. Anyone sitting near him needs to get up a cheer for our recruits. "Fayson, Fayson, ..."

from being there, I did not see many recruits on the sidelines. Usually, the crowd is noticeable. Today, I didn't actually recognize there being any.

No word yet on how Fayson's visit went. He was seen at the game.

Fayson makes official visit

The big news on an otherwise tame weekend was the official visit of five-star athlete Jarred Fayson of Tampa (Fla.) Hillsborough. Fayson (6 feet, 184 pounds) has more than 800 yards both rushing and passing this season, though he's being widely recruited as a receiver in the Tyrone Prothro mold. He has even compared himself to Prothro.

Fayson is listed as the No. 7 athlete/dual threat quarterback by Rivals, and is the No. 6 receiver (and a national top-50 prospect) by Scout.com. Fayson, who has had discussions with highly coveted quarterback Tim Tebow about playing college football together, is considering Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Miami (Fla.), Southern California and West Virginia. The team that promises Fayson a shot at quarterback might have the edge.

Fayson really enjoyed his Bama visit. He said that he likes Bama a lot and that they are in his top five. He also said that he is going to take all his visits before he makes a decision.

Apparently he had a real good time. Hopefully he will choose the Tide.

I think that the way we have used Prothro in the offense will help get Fayson. He's seen that we'll let him line up anywhere on the field if he has the skills of Prothro. That's got to help us out....big time.

Looks as if we will get official visits out of RBs CJ Spiller (4-star) and LeSean McCoy (5-star). I guess when you get down to it, a team's record is about the best recruiting tool it can have.

Spiller and McCoy are saying that they will visit, but I'd still say we are long shots. It'd take someone of their caliber for us to take a 2nd RB with Ford.

Tebow is down to Bama, UF, Mich, USC, and LSU.
