Rich Rodriguez fired from Michigan (updated 1/5/11)

re: UM AD says no decision yet on Rich Rodriguez's future

And with at least one candidate wrapping up his season in the Cotton Bowl later this week, the timing is even better.

Do you think Lesticle would take Michigan after what happened in 2007 ? I'd love to see him leave LSU but then they'd probably bring in a coach who knows what the hell he's doing. ROFLMAO

The Question is would Michigan pay the huge RichRod buyout & then pay an even bigger $$$ amount to hire the luckiest HC in College Football..Les is a good HC..But his football IQ is among the lowest among D1 HC's..I think Michigan can & will hire a better HC than Les..JMO

re: UM AD says no decision yet on Rich Rodriguez's future

What about the ever quiet Jim Harbaugh (spelling). Its obvious he is a good coach and would do well and Michigan. Look at what Stanford did to Va Tech last night.

Sources are saying Harbaugh will stay at Stanford or take the 49ers or Broncos job.

ESPN this morning said he wasn't interested in the Michigan HC'ing job..They said if he leaves Stanford he will jump to the NFL..

re: UM AD says no decision yet on Rich Rodriguez's future

Anytime a coach has to meet with his AD to "discuss his job status", you can be sure he's not expecting a raise and contract extension. Chances are RichRod's next meeting after that will be at the local U-Haul.

re: UM AD says no decision yet on Rich Rodriguez's future

I hope they hire Lou Holtz so he can have one last hoorah!!!!

Re: ESPN - Rich Rod is out at Michigan

Interesting. It doesn't surprise me. I wonder if Les Miles will think about jumping on this (if he is even offered the job that is)?
