Rich Rodriguez regrets?

I admit Rodriguez was my second choice for the job after Shula was fired. CNS was without question my first choice. I never wanted to see Spurrier at Alabama. He just does not have the fire IMO that he once had. IMO the rest of the SEC finally caught up to him in the last couple of years that he was at Florida.

My only concern with Rodriguez is he has never had a defense that would be considered really good muchless outstanding by SEC standards. I felt it would probably take him about three years to get the players to run his offense, but I felt we would be eventually be pretty good offensively under RR.

I would say things worked out pretty well for Alabama fans. I hope to see CNS at Alabama for many years to come. When he left LSU for the NFL I considered him as the best coach in college football and I still feel the same way.

No regrets that we did not get Coach Rod. We have one of the 3 best coaches out there. I guess we owe Finebaum "thanks" for making coach Rod's wife upset about the big hair comments that were made on air during his show.

I think there is some truth to Finebaum upsetting the Rods. He put the most tacky Kmart looking family portrait that I'd ever seen on his website. And Rita looked straight out of the trailer park. Anyone have a copy? Anyway, people
were making so much fun of this picture that I think it effected their decision as far stretched as that sounds. Finebaum had to be serious about it, but he knew the reaction the pic would get. If we had ended up with our sixth pick, Paul might have caught some heat, but it turned out for the best.

I would have taken Spurrier in a flash, he would not be burned out coaching here. He should have held out for a better job IMO.

My order

1. Saban
2. Spurrier
3. Johnson
4. Anyone else I would have been silently disappointed but still optimistic.

You may want to think twice before you make fun of people living in a mobile home, considering you don't seem to know the difference between "affected" and "effected."

I am affected that my post had an effect on your pride, and for that, I apologies.:conf3:

When you affect a situation, you have an effect on it, that's for sure.

Rich Rod will get Michigan going in a few years. He just needs to put the team through his own version of the process. Michigan is having such a hard time adjusting because they do not have the experience or personnel to run his style of offense.

The real question is: How stupid does WVU feel for hiring Bill Stewart?

That decision was like marrying a one night stand you met at the bar.

Ty Willingham should be available at the end of the year LOL.
