Thank you Alabama for supplying the Black & Gold with Mr. Harper. I was worried he would never become anything once he lost his entire last season to injury. Not sure if any of you saw it or are Saints fans but he made a beautiful pick-six off a tipped ball during Monday Night Football vs those bastard Falcons. No dancing in the endzone or showboating; he just took the ball to his Momma in the stands! Class act, he's improving week to week, he's gonna be a great safety. Next year looks to be even better for him. I'm sure some of yall keep up with former Tide players but just in case, consider this the Roman Harper update. Thanks for a talented and classy player!

Re: Roman Harper

It was posted on the board about 2 seconds after it happened :pDTW_1006:.

Thanks for the post though, a good deal of folks on this board follow our players onto the next level. Porbably one of the main reasons I can no longer support any one pro team lol. Though I've been a closet Saints fan for years, it's kinda nice they are doing so well.

Re: Roman Harper

Roman Harper is the man. As with any Bama player in the NFL, it makes me smile to see them do so well.

Saints got a good one in Harper.

Re: Roman Harper

Well, he did do a little dance behind the end zone, but I didn't have a problem with it. He's been a shining star on the plagued Saints secondary.

He did the superman after the touchdown which alot of players (Moss, Hester, T.O.) seem to be doing now ever since the dance has become a hit for all of the kids. I thought it was pretty funny to see him do it lol!!

ok so he had a little fun... it's not like he did the "Shuffle" or whip a marker out of his sock or taunt the other team. Plus he ran that ball over to his Momma!

did I mention he wears black and gold?

Re: Roman Harper

by the way, is Harper the only Bama player on the Saints right now or is there someone else I'm forgetting?

WHO DAT!!
Loved every second of that thrashing that the Saints put on the Dirty Birds on MNF. The BamaNation should be extemely proud of RH. Hope the Saints can win out and make it to the postseason!

Re: Roman Harper

Speaking of his "Momma" - I met her once & she is the BEST! Roman definitely came form "good stuff" & she is one class-act !

The Saints have enjoyed a couple of seasons that have provided so much fun for NOLA - and they're vital in the community too - Drew Brees, Reggie Bush, the Deuce, LOTS of them have given & given of their time - and, by the way, can often be seen eating dinner at Drago's - well, the one in town, that is - the one in Metairie is still going strong as it has for years - - but they've just opened that one in NOLA a few months ago - THE BEST!!

Re: Roman Harper

roman's family is awesome. his dad either does, or used to work at the high school. i think he helped out with the football team. he's a great guy. used to drive our bus sometimes when the soccer team couldn't find anyone else to drive.
