Scalping tickets? Trailer parking?

We're 5 tide fans up here in medical school in Canada and we're going to come down for the epic confrontation against florida on Oct 2. Just wondering if it would be possible for us to scalp tickets on game day or if anyone has a line on the best way to get some seats - I really hate stubhub. Also, we're renting a trailer to come in from atlanta airport, anyone have a line on the best place to park on gameday? We'd be coming in friday night.

Thanks and roll tide!

Bring plenty of cash with you if you want a decent ticket to that one before kickoff. You may score some if you are willing to wait.

Don't have any info to help you out with the trailer parking, unless you want to talk about my driveway.

I recommend getting info about RV's/trailers over on the RVers & Tailgating forum (see Other Boards dropdown menu above).

As for tickets, you're traveling a mighty long way to hang your hat on getting a set of 5 tickets outside the stadium prior to that game. You can most assuredly get tickets, just highly unlikely you'll get them together. So if you want to sit together, I'd suggest buying ahead of time. If you don't care who you sit next to, and are willing to buy singles, you'll have the best bet buying from someone roaming along University Blvd near the Quad and/or right outside the stadium.

I would recommend Stubhub.com for tickets. There are great numbers of counterfeit on game days at all venue's for these larger games. You might pay a great price for a ticket and not allowed in the game if the ticket is counterfeit.

I am a season ticket holder but do not get many of the away games. The link recommended by the University of Alabama for tickets is http:Alabama Tickets - Alabama Crimson Tide Tickets at Tuscaloosa, AL at StubHub!

Best bet to make a long trip a good memory instead of a bad experience. I had friends who purchased tickets for the SEC Championship and were turned away last year. Big business in bad tickets!

The same thing happened to some Bama fans at Auburn last year. I would go ahead and buy the tickets online somewhere. Better safe than sorry.

While David is correct that there are counterfeit tickets on gameday, they are usually NOT being sold by licensed ticket brokers (scalpers) on the streets! In Tuscaloosa you must be licensed to stand near the stadium to sell (scalp) your tickets, thus eliminating much of the problem with counterfeit tickets. Also, if you purchase them from a tailgater there is a very small likelihood of that problem as well. If, on the other hand you purchase them just off the interstate on McFarland, you could be in for big trouble! Finally, it is my opinion that ebay is every bit as good as stub hub for tickets regardless of who sponsors what websites.
