I think Sheridan will be a good OC with a little more experience. However, the SEC is not a good place for OJT. I think he would benefit greatly if he could work with Grubb for a few years. But, unfortunately, I don't think that's going to happen. I think Grubb stays on the west coast. He won't have any trouble finding another job.

I think the pull will be between the comfort of working with someone he has a good professional relationship with, and the preference for living in that part of the country. Seattle gave him an out, but I'm not so sure anyone else is going to pay him 2 million a year to stay in the area.

The wild card is Sheridan and how he would fit into all of this.

Problem is does his family want to come?
May be not, but it should be noted he technically accepted the Alabama job before Seattle threw 2 million at him. So he didn't really have to choose between money and location.

In this case, it's hard to imagine any scenario where Alabama isn't willing to pay him 1 million+ in some capacity, in which case who in the northwest is going to pay more?

I would also add he's actually from Iowa and he went to Eastern Michigan with DeBoer so he's shown a willingness to move across the country to work with him. We'll see though, I guess...

Id rather have a coach that that wants to be a coach at Alabama. He's already turned us down once, if I'm Alabama I'm not so sure id offer again.
CKD has been here almost a year, so maybe he can quiet the anxiety he may or may not have about moving down here.

Wonder if Kirby will go after him.
Don't see it. Not really a philosophical fit, unless Kirby is looking to modernize his offense like Saban. But even then, I would think if Bama were a no, then Georgia wouldn't even be a consideration. They're right next door geographically, and as far as I'm aware, he doesn't have any buddies there.
