Seahawks fire OC Grubb after missing playoffs
The Seahawks have fired offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb after one season, coach Mike Macdonald confirmed Monday.
I hope we can get him back!
He won't be unemployed for very long, even if we don't get him.I hate that the guy lost his job. That can't be fun.
Maybe there is an opportunity here.
While I have not been very impressed with Sheridan, he was handicapped by the Bama QB choice.
I think the pull will be between the comfort of working with someone he has a good professional relationship with, and the preference for living in that part of the country. Seattle gave him an out, but I'm not so sure anyone else is going to pay him 2 million a year to stay in the area.I think Sheridan will be a good OC with a little more experience. However, the SEC is not a good place for OJT. I think he would benefit greatly if he could work with Grubb for a few years. But, unfortunately, I don't think that's going to happen. I think Grubb stays on the west coast. He won't have any trouble finding another job.
May be not, but it should be noted he technically accepted the Alabama job before Seattle threw 2 million at him. So he didn't really have to choose between money and location.Problem is does his family want to come?
I think I read he was making $2M in SeattleMight not have to pay him that much depending on the Seattle contract
If they cant call plays or recruit they can stay home.Problem is does his family want to come?
Which he still might be making next season depending on his buyout/contract.I think I read he was making $2M in Seattle
CKD has been here almost a year, so maybe he can quiet the anxiety he may or may not have about moving down here.Id rather have a coach that that wants to be a coach at Alabama. He's already turned us down once, if I'm Alabama I'm not so sure id offer again.
If we had followed that strategy previously we would’ve missed out on the GOAT. Food for thought.Id rather have a coach that that wants to be a coach at Alabama. He's already turned us down once, if I'm Alabama I'm not so sure id offer again.
Kirby might not fire his buddy Bobo. Although there was a brief rumor that Bobo would "retire". He shot that down.Wonder if Kirby will go after him.
Don't see it. Not really a philosophical fit, unless Kirby is looking to modernize his offense like Saban. But even then, I would think if Bama were a no, then Georgia wouldn't even be a consideration. They're right next door geographically, and as far as I'm aware, he doesn't have any buddies there.Wonder if Kirby will go after him.
