The 2001 Southeastern Conference Championship meet
will be held in Birmingham, Ala. This marks the 21st year that the
SEC will crown a team champion in gymnastics. Alabama will
look to repeat as SEC Champion, while Georgia will be aiming at
taking their ninth title in 11 years. LSU, who placed tied for sec-ond
with Georgia in 2000 is also looking to claim the title.
Florida, who finished fourth last season, will also vie for the SEC
Championship, as is Auburn and Kentucky.
