I pray they don't do that!!! I love being one of the only programs that does not do that. It looks very tacky if you ask me.

I'm fine with our current uni's but I wouldn't mind a trans-white helmet to go with the road whites. I have wondered how some grey scheme may look as an alternate....but only as an alternate. I will say that I did like the ProCombat uni much more than I expected, so if we decided to make that permanent....I wouldn't complain either way.

If Penn St is going to have a "White Out" against us..It would be pretty sweet to break out our white helmets just for the Penn St game..Flame away..

FWIW I am wholly against nameless jerseys, crimson pants and white shoes. I just have slight issues with our helmets. Yeah I wouldn't have a problem with a white one for the white uni's but that's not what I mean by issues. For some reason our helmets seems to look a little on the purple side at times. I'm fine with the layout, I just wish something could be done about purplish problem.

I don't see the problem maybe wearing our white helmet once each year or every couple of years..Love 'em or hate 'em..They're a part of our history at Bama..And they don't look as bad as some of you make them out to be..

The good offseason news is that every year we seem to add another topic du jour that's season specific. Last year we had conference realignment/conference Armageddon. It's early yet, but this year the leader out of the gate is "Tidesports Refugee here." :cool2:

I know the white helmets are a part of our tradition, but if they do decide to wear white helmets for a game I hope it is against a lesser opponent. I don’t want the distraction of something new for a SEC game or big out of conference game. We all know what happened to UGA with the "Blackout" game.
