They are beautiful machines, no question. I just spent too many of my working years in hospitals in general and ERs in particular. You guys be careful out there!

Feeling good about resolving a mechanical issue on my '84. It wasn't starting - as in just a click at the starter relay. No action at the starter. Did a bunch of diagnostics to rule some stuff out before determining the starter was at fault. I happened to have a replacement in my spares so set about to replace it. Had to drain the coolant and take the oil filter off so did an oil and filter change and she now has fresh coolant.

The new starter wasn't going in and I finally figured out it was because the o-ring was too fat! So I swapped it with the old o-ring and now all's well that ends well.

I'll get her off the lift table tomorrow.

Stoked!

Ran over tonight just before we got hit by a rain storm to work on a couple of my bikes. Took the edge off the temperature and now I got this work done so can do other stuff tomorrow.

At one point I had all 3 going, except the Red RC36. Reminded me of what we referred to in legendary 3 piece rock bands...James Gang, Rush, Hendrix, Cream, etc. etc.....

Going to bring this one home to ride for a week or so.......... (y)

This might be of interest to others with motorcycles.

Some of my bikes are in a storage unit right now. One day I hope to have a better storage option, but this works for now. Except there's no electricity in the storage unit to keep a battery maintainer on them. So I bought this Jackery 240 power bank (~$175 from Amazon) which will provide AC to power my charger/maintainer. I have a splitter on the AC output with two charger/maintainers hooked up at once.

Used it for the first time today and so far I'm impressed!

Ironically, while there today I discovered a 15'x30' unit that does have electricity...two lighting fixtures and 2 outlets...so I grabbed it and will be consolidating most of my stored stuff in there. Decent price on the unit and I may pre-pay a year ahead to avoid rental increases.

It has two doors...the one that's open and the one on the far right.......

Do you think you could get away with taking a ladder, lay a solar panel on the roof and hook it up to the Jackery?

Yeah, I asked if this would be OK right after I started bringing over my bikes and was turned down. Guess they had a big fire a few years back and did away with a lot of stuff. Otherwise that would work great!
