There is no doubt that this team and coaching staff are a very close group. When you go through all that this program has had to deal with over the last several years it has to bring you closer or tear you apart.
This group has obviously choose to come together. Even though every one of us as fans have hurt like heck with all that has happened, there is absolutely no way we can even imagine what it has been like for the Coaches and Players to have to deal with.
Trying to carry on a Tradition Rich program like the University of Alabama has had for over 100 yrs. Feeling the pressures of not letting fans and family down, but more important not letting each other as teammates down. Because when it's all said and down win or lose it's each other as player's and coaches that walk into a dressing room and look each other eye to eye and know if you've done all you can do.
I have noticed that before the kickoff of every game, that Coach Shula makes a point to find every single Coach on his staff and he shakes their hand and then embraces them with a firm hug.
That says alot about a man in his position. Especially The way coaches today try to separate themselves from assistants and players. It just proves players and assistants will work their tales off for you if you make them feel as important as you are.
From the message after the Miss. game to Prothro on CBS, to the jubilation and hugs with players after Winning. It just proves to me you can be successful in coaching and you don't have to do it just like everyone else does.
I've been a Bama fan for many years, and the CLASS this Coach displays makes me proud.
Sorry for such a long post.
