BAMA falls to the Gators 2-0. Beaver pitched a great game for BAMA. Florida got 2 unearned runs in the second. Our defense was good, our pitching was great, but we couldn't buy a hit. Never had a runner reach second base, and didn't get the lead off on until on the 7th inning and that was on a walk. I thought we might get something going in the 7th, but a ground ball up the middle was booted by the second baseman but went right to Wallace for the out at second. Not a lot of solid contact today, but we did have a lot of pop ups. Wind was blowing hard left to right so that didn't help. Hope we can come back in game 2.

A real horror show.Sorry you had to witness that Montana.
I hate to say it, but we seem to be average at best. We spotted Florida a 2-0 lead thanks to 2 unearned runs in the first, after their first two batters reached on consecutive errors. It was 3-0 Florida when we loaded the bases in the 3rd or 4th, (can't remember which inning), with no outs. We managed to score two runs with no hits ever leaving the infield. The only ball out of the infield was a fly out for the 3rd out. I have no doubt the ladies are giving their best, but we look to be a middle of the pack team. I hope we can improve, but there's a lot of good teams in the SEC, and whoever picked us 7th might be right.
Hopefully we can salvage game 3 tonight, but I have to agree with all of the above. Shocked at the errors and unearned runs. Amazing crowds for the weekend, can't say the support is not there. The only positive I took away was the interview with Montana and that she is 100% healthy and training for her time with Team USA.

Hopefully we can build on the bounce-back win today. I love the BAMA softball program and hope we can get it together going forward. Way too many errors in games 1 and 2 made it too easy for the Gators. Nice to see a win in the series.
What a performance after the error filled losses over the weekend. Beaver looks to be in that same category as some of the legendary Bama aces and got some clutch hits (not a ton, but UF is no slouch).
This win bodes well for the trip to Athens this weekend. Take 2 of three from the Dawgs and I'll feel at ease.

Big 4-1 road win tonight against FSU. Duchscherer and Heivilin with dingers.Alea Johnson came in for the Beave(Hope Kayla is ok) and shut the noles out the final 3 innings.Good show all around.RTR!
Huge win and the type of game we probably would have lost the last couple of years. The staff is gaining confidence and the hitting is coming around

Really proud of how they showed up in Tallahassee. Hope they keep it going.
