Starters for Bowl Game?

Alright, let's start focusing on the future. For those close to the program, what changes should we expect to see across starting positions for the bowl game?

Aside from transfers out, will DeBoer focus on winning this game, or will he focus on player development for 2025?

I think he should start 2025 right now.

Opt outs should clear some of the path.

It’s hard to say specifics because skill players are waiting to see what Milroe does.

If CKD does not encourage certain guys to move and plays this like every game since Tenn I’ll be off the bandwagon all the way.

Not that I matter but this staff has done some sketchy decision making this year and I’m pretty sour about it.

I’d like to see fresh faces in the Bowl Game playing with a Fire in their belly.

It depends on who opts out. If you have players who really want to play it’s hard to make them sit. My guess with this team is we will not see the loyalty we did with the 2022 team so you kind of play the hand your dealt. That’s fine by me - focus on the future.

We didn't see that type of team first mentality all season, so I doubt that we will see a lot of loyalty now.

The only way I can see it happening is if they think it will be good for their bottom line.

I can see guys like Malachi Moore and Tyler Booker playing, I think Milroe plays but not 100% on that

I think the opt outs will be transfer related and not draft related so no Kobe Prentice, maybe one of the RBs transfer and they sit out too

Milroe should not be allowed to play. If he does, you do nothing but waste the 15 practices

It will be a massive failure if we don’t take this opportunity to get the players coming back next year experience in the system they will be running. This year has not prepared anybody on offense for what they will be expected to execute next year flawlessly.

If it does, it just highlights which players need to be washed out so CKD can have a solid foundation upon which to build a real team.
