They need a similar game plan like they had with Auburn. No planned QB runs. They'll have his number like Okie did. Run da ball with Jam, Justice, and Richard. Throw to the WRs, TEs, and RBs. Screens, sweeps, etc.
THIS is where the problem lies. He struggles with short to intermediate accuracy. QB run doesn't have to planned for him to take off. Once he gets his bell rung a couple times he'll take of at the first sign of pressure, usually in the wrong direction.

When he looks for and hits the TE he looks like a decent QB. We killed Auburn with the short to intermediate passes to the TE's. They are big targets, easy to see and Milroe should look for them all day and twice on Sunday's.

From my non-expert view it seems he did improve in areas like the swing passes out of the backfield and the seam routes to the TE, but what is sorely missing are those super-quick slants that we used to be so devastating in completing.

In the days of Tua and Mac the ball came out in like 1 second and often ended up in huge gains even though the pass only traveled about 4 yards past the line.

He did get a little better with the inside routes to the TE, but the outside shorts routes are still very, very inconsistent as he doesn't get the ball out where it needs to be nearly as quickly as he should.

Go look for the LANK thread. Net, Milroe essentially bought the support of teammates with NIL funds he collected. He doesn't play, they don't.
Wouldn't that mean that the coaches are deciding who plays and who doesn't based upon who Milroe says should play or not?

Or is it that they're in solidarity with Milroe to the point that they will tank their own playing time if he doesn't play?

I understand, but we have put ourselves in CKD’s shoes. He’s tasked with keeping the 10 wins streak going, and possibly a bonus for winning the bowl game. I think the narrative of benching the starters, playing for next year, and running the risk of losing the bowl game is not going to happen.
Coaches have a different mindset than fans.

He very well may decide HE WANTS to come back. But per CKD, he's installing his FULL OFFENSE next season...
Only time will tell if this happens. We can only wait and hope that Milroe moves on one way or another, so CKD doesn't have to prove if he has the where with all to do what needs to be done.

He's done well throwing to the TEs and RBs. And he's done better with the shorter throws.

I'd rather be waterboarded for 4 hours than watch another snap.

I've never seen anything like this in 40+ Years as a fan.

A player that CAN NOT even be benched over poor performance.

He has the 2nd highest INT % in the entire SEC and if you factored in Fumbles he'd have the #1 Highest TO rate in the league.
Link? ;)

No, you can't bench a player that just won the William V. Campbell Trophy. It would be a very bad look. I don't have the same disdain for Milroe as a player as others. Therefore, I find it refreshing that a player doesn't opt out and wants to finish the season. I'm undecided on my feelings if it's a sign he's coming back next year.
I think it's more because we've never really had that issue. We don't miss the playoffs very often, but last time we did, there weren't really any major opt-outs, either. It's a Bama thing. I do like that DeBoer was able to continue that trend. It says a lot about the culture DeBoer is building. We got screwed out of the playoffs, so we very well could've acted like FSU did last year when they got left out, but it sounds like just about everyone is going to play. That's a very, very good sign for our program.

Not true. Sounds ridiculous.
Guys, let's not go back down the rabbit hole of arguing over whether the "LANK" fiasco was real or make-believe. At this point, people believe what they're going to believe regardless. We have people with sources connected directly to the locker room who have disclosed what they've been told. You either believe them or you don't. But they/we will not, under any circumstance, reveal sources for overly obvious reasons. Let's move on...
Read Buzzards post right above yours. The only thing to add to what he said is that it was multiple sources direct from the locker room.

You do realize Saban felt it was "better" to put up with it than smash the anchor through the bottom of the boat? So it must not be as "easy" as "Bench all of them and if they don't like it they all can go to hell!". The dynamics are more complex and nuanced than that.

Saban put up with it for one year and bolted. DeBoer is putting up with it for one year and it's 100% leaving and headed to the draft and we're keeping our #2 recruiting class intact.
Misplay this situation and Alabama sports could face a nuclear winter from which it could never recover.

If it was the beginning, facing one or more years and the institution was willing to face the situation knowing the possible consequences it would be worth it.

But as you noted, there is only one more game. It would be madness to deal with it once the horse is almost out of the barn.

I appreciate the effort but it doesn’t matter how many of us tell it or who it comes from it’s just not going to be accepted.

There could be video and/or audio evidence and the response would be “it’s fake I don’t believe it”

I’m tired of it.

Michigan already knows how to stop him. They did it once, so they can do it again. We will find out in a few weeks.
That’s where I thought he might opt out, going out on high note against the barn and not risk a bad game against michigan, however I can understand his mindset to use a last chance opportunity to try prove performance against quality defense and the one that got him last season. Maybe some teammates looking for him to play and not opt out on them.
Given complexity of this season who knows who and how this decision was played out.

Regardless of his limitations as a QB, he is a competitor and wants every chance to prove himself to the "naysayers". I never expected him to opt out of the bowl game. Bama has somewhat gotten a reputation of not "quitting" before bowl games. That's a good and honorable thing.

Sure, regardless how bad we’re ready for next season to get underway, that is a good tradition to maintain to not have our team opting out, agree there
