Starting Backfield?

It should be a killer rotation. As long as we have an O-Line to make things happen, our opponents could see a new face every other play.Terry Grant, Roy Upchurch, and even Mark Ingram in the mix... Ouch. I can't wait to have a running game again.

I agree 100%

which true freshman back (in ya'll's opinion) see's the field this upcoming season??

I hear great things about Ingram from the fans up in Michigan. I think he is underrated and will surprise a lot of people.

i want to see what Mark Ingram can do anyone else with me?

I am with you, I can't wait to see the competition for pt at running back.

:BigA: RTR!

I see us starting with the same backfield rotation as last year with Coffee, Grant and Upchurch getting the calls. I expect others to begin seeing playing time as the season wears on. Demetrius Goode is a runningback I see many people overlooking. Goode could very well be the leader coming into game one.

I thought the same thing until I saw him running the ball in the spring game. His knee is still bothering him a great deal. He may be a year away. I’m hopeful he can get back to the explosive back he was in HS because he was a very good one.

Has Huber moved back to offense? During the spring and the Aday game, he was at LB, at least that's what I remember. At 54, my memory could be a bit off.

He's still at LB as of right now. Fall camp will allow him to solidify his spot on that side of the ball. The FB position has pretty much been erased from our offensive schemes, so a move back is highly unlikely.

That's good to hear about Huber, we need bodies at LB. Has anyone heard how he is working out at LB? I don't recall seeing him that much during A-Day.

As for the starting backfield I expect Upchurch to be our primary RB. He seems to be the most complete back on our team and runs very hard.
