Is that wishful thinking, or did he make a lot of plays for the scout team during practices this year? For those of you who are able to attend some practices, who are some of the guys who redshirted this year who could really make some contributions next year? I assume Prince Hall would be one. I have heard about a Johnson kid on the O-line and a couple of kids on the D-line. Someone in the know please fill me in. Thanks.
From what I had heard and talked to others on the message board about, I get the feeling Hall will eventually. However, in this months Bama Mag Shula is quoted that if we started right now Collins would be our man in the middle. I know things will be sorted out in spring practices, but its not a lock for Prince. I would believe that quote is based on Matt's experience from the past two years. As I have heard Hall has plenty of upside.
was Hall on the scout team? This is more of a general question, not necessarly directed at Hall. Are scout team players at the bottom of the depth chart, or are scout team players the number 2's?
On my HS team the players at the bottom served as warm bodies to stand against the starters. We (I mean they ) basicaly, they filled positions mainly so that the starting O or D could get a sense of their assignments.
So, in college ball does the scout team consist of the #2's in an effort to develope the talent against the best competition, or is the scout team made up of freshman who stand in as "warm meat".
