In all seriousness - and thanks for the laughter in the humor - but turning serious I think the Cam scandal damaged Auburn in unseen ways that will play out over years just like the Means mess tarnished us. It's like a sexual harassment charge - no matter the truth your life is never the same. I think a number of folks had their suspicions aroused & think Auburn got away with grand larceny. But it's like OJ Simpson - while a jury let him go, it did not get him his NBC or movie gigs back. And so they got what they wanted at toohigh a price.

And let's face it - we all know Tubs smacked us in recruiting by playing the old "Alabama's getting the death penalty" nonsense.

Stewart Mandel @slmandel Normally schools get a recruiting bump from winning the national title a year later. With Auburn, it's like it never happened.


Sorry to kick our rival while they're down (or maybe I'm not lol) but ouch. Also saw another tweet where they tried to offer Beniquez Brown at 5am. Sure seems kind of late to be offering a player at 5am.

The barn got off scott free last October with the understanding that they had to shut down the P4P scam they had going.

Apparently they do have to pay to get a big-time recruit to sign down there............:biggrin:

That was my thought also. According to the NCAA_Football_Recruiting_Calandar it is supposedly a dead period, so coaches can't make phone calls to recruits. I'm sure they found some loophole by faxing an offer or something like that...

What a great day! A barner at work said that he called and told his wife that this is the worst day of his life. Whe she didn't understand why he said that they need to divorce. I suspect this will be a long night for pets and wifes in the Lee County crowd. Lots of butt kickings coming with all of their frustration.

Avery Young is probably their best, a 5-star OL out of Georgia.

Probably Ricardo Louis and the OT Young. Those to signees, both 4 although some services give Young his 5th star, probably vault them towards the top 10. Def not the class BAMA has but, their class got a lot better the past hour.
