Everything Kirby Smart said after ‘toughest year’ of his tenure ends with Sugar Bowl loss

this year's schedule was the hardest evar !111!1!!!11111!!

their schedules 2021-2023 made my daughter's middle school b-team volleyball schedule look challenging

Yep, the "EAST" as it was previously known, was a Georgia peach for Kirby.

Anytime UGA loses a game, its the refs.................they claimed the refs helped us, and they are claiming the refs helped ND. I showed pics to a UGA fan of their dbs riding the backs of Bama receivers in the NC game, but the refs still helped Bama
they wouldn't have made it to overtime with georgia tech had the officials called the game anywhere close to even

Lanning thought he had too much of a hotbed to stoop to taking the Alabama job, when in fact if he had, he would have had a roster better matched with OSU. I know they won earlier in the season, but I contend that Oregon’s style of play is never going to win when it counts the most.
Funny. Miami “stole” Cristobal from Oregon…a very good recruiter but an awful in game coach. And Oregon replaced him with? A very good recruiter but terrible in game coach.

Granted that some of Lanning’s issue could be related to lack of head coaching experience. But I enjoyed seeing him getting a great big piece of humble pie on Wednesday.

SEC teams have taken players from all over the country, too. It is what it is.
We've gotten several from California (and Hawaii!) over the Nick Saban era.

But the core has always been from Texas back through the south to the east coast. And the majority of the NFL talent that's flowed through the SEC over these last 20 years or so has come from that same geographic footprint.

This is something SEC schools are going to have to reckon with. Ohio State and to a lesser extent Penn State have a very nice pool of high school talent to draw upon. Michigan as well due to the talent base in the states of Ohio and Pennsylvania. But if these Big Ten schools can now cherry pick (buy) talent already on SEC rosters...

One year does not make a trend. But we will see how this continues to develop. My one prediction is that, absent massive reform, it does not benefit the SEC at all.
