Suggestions Needed For Some Out of Town'ers!!!

Hey Tide Fans, need some help please.

My brother and I are coming down from Michigan with a couple of friends and are wondering what bars to visit in Tuscaloosa? We are middle aged (30'ish), balding guys that are HUGE 'Bama Fans!! We are coming down with the agreement that "What happens in T-Town, stays in T-Town...."

It is our first visit so we thought we would come down for homecoming...

If you want to have a good time and hang out with a good mix of students and locals, The Houndstooth is the place. Get there early and set up camp at a pool table. There are tons of options on the strip though, you may want to see where the crowd is and what (if any) bands are in town.

If you just want to get blasted, try a Harry's Bucket from Harry's (it's off campus by a bit). For those who went to UA, 'nuff said. Its a paint bucket filled with some concoction of alcohol that is certain to cause liver damage and a helluva good time. But a word of caution - after 11 on any night there's as much of a chance of 4 guys getting into a nasty fistfight as there is a chance of an attractive woman being in there.

if you want some darts and pool try Wilhagen's or the Downtown Pub. I don't live there, so that's just my opinion, but I always have a good time there.

Houndstooth is great. Wilhagan's is definitely the place if you want to eat too. I also like Innisfree downtown on Greensboro. You'll probably run into a player or 2 after a game. We usually do. I also like the Booth, Cheap Shots or the Legacy before or right after the game, all on the strip. You can bring your own food into the bars on the strip since they don't serve any, if you're hungry.
