It's about time to start ordering / picking up those summer college football magazines. In the days of blogs/internet messages boards they are a bit of a relic, but I still enjoy them.

What magazines if any do you guys still purchase? Here are a few that I still look ro pick up.

1. Athlon/Lindy's - I feel like there are about the same level of information per team, but I've usually liked Athlon's presentation a bit better.
2. Phil Steele - You certainly get your information per dollar here, but it is just not that interesting to me. It is nice to get info on non-sec opponents, but so much of it is telling you about how get he did at predicting some random stat about an OL ten years ago. Just not as much about the current team as you would like to see.
3. RollBamaRoll mag/Maple Street Press - The last few years they have put out a great magazine just about Alabama a little later in the summer, but I'm not sure if they are doing it this year. At then end of the day though, reading about the other teams is usually more interesting as half of us here can name the two deep "Organizational Groupings" for Alabama already.

What other magazines do you guys still like to pick up?

I'm not sure why anyone would buy any of those. I peruse them very briefly in the Barnes & Noble, read the Bama article and several of their rivals, and put them back. They all have the same things to say and they always prove laughably inaccurate once the actual season begins.

Lindys is also my favorite because of the info on other teams. Especially now with adding T a&m and Mizzou. Pretty much in the dark about them so I always keep one around the house to keep up with other teams just for conversation sake.

wow, I can't believe people still buy Magazines with all information available on the internet, talk radio and TV. I haven't bought a preseason mag since the 90's

I usually get Lindy's, Athlon's, and Phil Steele's. But I can't believe Lindy put LSU's Honey Possum on the 1st team all-America defense.

Only fans wearing team colored glasses can make accurate predictions

Same here. I'll flip through one if I see it at the store for the Bama article and conference predictions, but that's about it.

I read them all. I like to buy as many of the Athlons regional mags as I can. I get the big national ones, but you don't get as much information on each team. I keep them too. I like to go back years later and read what they wrote about Bama.

I use Phil Steele's magazine as a reference tool during the season, and his predictions are as interesting as any other, but I'm not crazy about the writing in that thing. He spends way too much time bragging on himself.

I usually get whichever I come across first between Lindy's and Athlon. Phil Steele's honestly is TOO much information. It's nice to have if you don't have a job and tons of time on your hands. I get overwhelmed just looking inside that thing and all the jumbled information. Whatever works though for each person.

I will buy phil steele and read up on all the opponents we will play during the season. Its actually real good information if you care to make a wager during the season, especially in the first couple weeks.
