What else?

Terminator: Salvation - will try to see it this weekend
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen - definitely
Up - something for the three-year old in the house
GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra - probably (haven't heard much about it)
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince - my wife's big into the books

What am I missing?

-Up from Pixar will be released next weekend, and all signs indicate it's another incredible film.

-The Hangover looks like pure guilty pleasure fun

Public Enemies - I think that will be pretty good. Probably won't see it in theaters. Not sure if it is a "summer movie" but it is released July 1.
District 9 - The trailer is pretty good although I'm not quite sure what it is about. (I think that's the point though). - Produced by Peter Jackson

and yes I think the Hangover will be good fun as well.

Forgot about Public Enemies... the trailer looks real good, and the cast is top notch.

And Bodhi, you mention Up being for the 3 year old... everything I've read has indicated that it's got extremely broad appeal, especially since the protagonist is an elderly character. It's also got real good old-time adventure film qualities (Most of the movie takes place in a secluded South American jungle/plateau setting).

Good call DD.

Saw Up last night with my wife and daughter. Great job by Pixar. The kids got the humor. The adults got the humor with the touching themes as well. Just a very, very good movie.

Oh, and the short at the beginning of the movie was hilarious.

Saw Terminator: Salvation last weekend. Great summer popcorn flick. Cool new machines, lots of explosions, etc.

Not buying the heart transplant at a field hospital, but ok. ;)

Just good fun.

Yeah that's what I thought about it. It could have been much better I thought, but it was just a fun movie.

Next up for me, Transformers 2 and Public Enemies.

The Hangover was very funny. Most of the best moments were in the trailer. There were still some other funny parts though. That Mike Tyson punch I could watch every day and it would still be funny. I don't know why, but I found it hilarious. A very above average comedy. I wouldn't say it was as good as some other comedies of years past like the Judd Apatow movies. Probably the best comedy of the summer to date (including Year One, I heard it wasn't very good).

Wolverine - terrible
Star Trek - okay, butcould've been better
Angels and Demons - decent
Terminator Salvation - HORRIBLE
Up - haven't seen
Drag Me To Hell - great original horror flick, unlike these trashy, unoriginal and cliched remakes
The Hangover - The best comedy film since Dumb and Dumber
Night at the Museum - Enjoyable family flick
Casino Royale - The greatest film ever made:biggrin:

Isn't Drag Me to Hell about like a girl that denies someone a loan and she is cursed or something? See that is what caused the housing crisis. That's why people were giving out such ridiculous loans. They were afraid of being cursed!

I'm ready for Transformers and Harry Potter. I'm not so sure about G.I.Joe .. the trailer looks kind of like Power Rangers without all the colorful costumes. "9" coming out on 9/9/09 also looks interesting.

The Hangover made me laugh out loud. You know, those deep hardcore belly laughs? Yeah, it's the first movie to do that to me that many times since the first time I saw Something About Mary in the theater.

Very well done. Pay attention to all the stuff in the suite. There's a hanging ottoman that just made me want to fall out of my seat laughing. And the chicken! It all just made me laugh out loud!

Ed Helms' piano song had me rolling. Hilarious film throughout...
